I played Super Nintendo and then Turbo Graphx 16 (sp?).Started PC games around 95 or so.
Some games I played were Y's book 1&2 on the TBG 16.Pc games were Myst,7th Guest,11th hr,Phantasmagoria,Daggerfall,Dune,Command And Conquer,Red Alert and Transport Tycoon.
Played mostly RPGs, favorite was Chronotrigger. Played a lot of different games though. I remember battle toads fondly. Got very hard later on. Radiant silvergun was a pretty fun, intense overhead shooter.
Once I got a computer, played all the usuals, but discovered MUDs and played those like crazy. I remember playing Dragon's Gate a lot with friends before aol bought it and started charging for it. MUDs are probably what got me into MMORPGs, although the first couple I tried didn't hook me until EQ.
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”
Before MMO`s, I played only console and arcade games. I think the last console game I beat was Halo for the X-Box. Then I bought a computer and started Everquest. My X-Box collected dust after I started playing EQ.
