I'm not a fan of Diablo but my sons are. They are going to love this. I just sent one of them the link...I have never heard of it until now. Thank you. Oh also I'm not flaming D3! I respect you guys for what you do!

y Grim Dawn might be grand. part of the team from Titan Quest is a plus for sure.

Wow, I loved that video. Arthur seems like a pretty honest, down to earth dude, and I absolutely adore the manner in which they're approaching this project and exclusive information through exposure to their forum community. The different design mechanics he mentioned are also pretty intriguing, and I can't wait to hear more about Grim Dawn. Thanks for keeping me in the loop!

Well it looks fresh to me. But i also played D3 beta, so i know wich direction is D3 taking. Seriously, D3 could need stats too, we all agree to that, because we love to distribute those tiny points.
I like how OP left out gameplay. The way a game feels as you use skills and engage in combat is the most important aspect, and from the looks of it, PoE and this piece both fall far short.
Diablo has already formed its following that will buy and play D3 simply off the love of D2.
One of the first things out of the devs mouth was "kickstarter".
So how about Grim Dawn first even gets in the ring before it blows anyone out of it.
Im not even doubting its will be good it looks like a good game from what I saw but imo this kickstarter stuff is already getting annoying.
Titan Quest was a solid DClone as far as single player goes. This game has a small budget and team which is really a big problem. By the time the get the content out there the engine may be REALLY dated.
Grim Dawn looks excellent, even the video provides some good insight on what looks like great gameplay too. IMO though Path of Exile is just terrible, beta was so bad, and that skill tree....that's laughable, but people like it.....heh put people still play Eligium too....
I myself would like to see Lineage Eternal hopefully it won't just be korean localized.

There are currently 2 developers and some part time work for them in critical points. Now when 2 ppl can make such a good looking game, i bet u need only 1 to make a diablo 3.

I love a dark game as much as the next, but I'm not sure there is alot of appreciation for just how large of a game D3 is going to be. Even if it is darker...and has everything you say, so what? Put up major features next to Diablo 3 and judge then. This game has the same features as a 10 year old ARPG. Impressive (I would probably buy it anyway though, I love the genre).
Also, the makers of Titan Quest made a great game (I personally own 2 copies w/exp), but also folded. Even if this game makes it to market, how long till it folds and support ends? Will it have ex-packs like D3 (most likely) will?

Tbh. Just from watching that video, it does not catch my attention in the slightest. I don't like games like this, hated Diablo and Diablo 2.
Now Diablo 3 has actually caught my attention and it has a very nice feel to it and when it's officially released, it will become better and then it will be updated with expansions. Diablo 3 seems like it has a better feel to it and seems like the gameplay is 10x better as well as the skills and in-depth story

Highly doubt it. Diablo has a solid following, even if it does seem like there are lots of haters but that's the case with pretty much every game.
Most of the haters will most likely be playing D3 regardless of their complaints.
Will be too busy playing Diablo to even remember this game by the time it comes out.

Well diablo 3 has atm no comepetition because noone of the others is ready for a game release yet. So they get the full market share.
Have we entered the age of the D3 clone!? It's funny how much more successful D3 will be than these games, if they ever launch.....They both look like fun ripoffs, but D3 will still crush them.
