Engineer----Best Crafting Choices ?

I haven't seen anything that would indicate which crafts would enhance an engineer? Yes leather craft for armor....but for their mines..turrets etc is there a crafting profession that would enhance an engineers items ?

The huntsmen crafting profession corresponds to the Engineer weapons. More on this in the wiki.
Mines and turrets are utility skills/kits. There is no crafting profession that interacts with those directly, as those aren't actual items that could be crafted.
You can swap crafts at anytime and not lose your progress on the crafts you abandoned. Since mines and turrents are your special skill I would go with huntmen/jewelry since the give the biggest stat boosts I seen so far.
