download speed

in Guild Wars 2

Atm i'm downloading the client. Anyone els here having slow download speed? 500-600 kbs, Normaly i donwload with 2 or 3 mb ps. Could be cous the servers are spamed

    Was just under 1 mbps when I was downloading. Didn't take very long.

    The speed isnt accurate. I downloaded about 130kb/s and really i got it around 400kb/s

    I am downloading at 4 mb/s. I found that disabling my firewall made my speeds jump.

    Mine finished about an hour ago but the speed was 1.5mbps.

    Yeah I pay $55 dollars a month for 25 mbps. Although it usually is at 20 mbps when tested.

    Bandwidth is always slower when you watch it.  Try walking out of the room and then sneaking up on it.  It'll probably show about 22Mbit.

    I used my galaxy SII to record the screen and walked out of the room, definitely true!!! XD

    I was getting 60kb/s, but in reality I was getting 300kb/s (yes Australia is that slow ._.)

     

    Now its finished download

    The Patcher showed between 80 - 500 kbyte/s but in reality (performance monitor) i was getting 1748 kbyte/s.

    Less than 3 hours image

    kinda meh......just 760Kb/sec.

    but it could be worse tough......so its all good in the end......it can go for 2 days...i'll be ready :)

    Anyone know how big the download is, I heard it was around 25gb

    I'm tied into Telus for one year then I'll be jumping to Shaw. Don't know if I'll pay &130 a month though. Have to wait and see.

    I got my E-mail while sleeping but it just sends me to the forums where there is no link to download.If its the one in your account it says not available to me so I can't even start my download.

    My patcher showed less than 1 mb/s and I downloaded in less than 2 hours. I didn't bother to calculate it but it seems this speed was wrong.

    In my house we use a lot of bandwidth, so it was worth it for us. You could always go for that 50mbps or 100mbps plans also. I didn't see much of an increase in speed going from 100 to 250 when I was the only one on, but the difference was huge when everyone was on. They are also beta testing the gigabit internet now also.

    Try monitoring the launcher with a program like netbalancer or any other monitoring tool. The speed listed in the launcher doesn't represent the full speed, because you are downloading files from different servers. The launcher only lists one of several files being downloaded simultaneously. You could do some math after the download has finished.

    Right now, you need ~15 gigs of free space.

    Weird.. on 99% downloaded. and no speed, speed droped to 0 speed.....

    If i stop the download will i be able to pick it up where i left it or do i have to start from the beginning again?
