just a reminder - Battlefield Europe OPEN BETA starts at 25th August, means a couple of days.
To those who dont know what game is it - its a ww2 simulation mmopg with combined tanks, aircrafts, paks, flaks, pnders, transport vehicles, different infantry units, battleships etc....

Beginning at 1200CT (US) on Thursday, August 25th, 2005 account creation forms will be made available on the official website for test accounts. Participants will receive instructions on how to download the pre-release client and information on where to submit error reports. Space will be limited for the test which will run from Thursday, August 25th through Sunday August 28th.

BATTLEGROUND EUROPE is the ultimate PvP MMOG in a combined arms simulations set in a relentless, action-packed 3D environment. Players command and crew a variety of accurately modeled vehicles, naval vessels and aircraft or sling weapons and fight as a foot soldier with and against thousands of other players.

    I know some people have been confused and think this is an entirely new MMO. However, that is not the case, Battleground Europe is actually a Re-release or expansion of the game WWII Online. Aparently WW2OL has been making huge advancements lately and a lot of people are saying it's completely changed from when it was first released. Either way I think it warrents another look and you'll definately find me playing it.

    Anyone who is interested to attend the open "Stress-test" that starts on Thursday should download the game before Thursday to avoid the traffic jam on the download server. ;)

    Visit the download page and download your client for free. :)

    It's pretty cool. You can use the client right now to play offline. You can choose all the vehicles and just mess around in a huge world.

    I downloaded the game client. but where can i get the "Stress-test " account ?

    does I need purchase it?

    First of, I don't think the old CD is a good choice to start from.

    The stress test will be using v1.19.5, or maybe it will get a minor patch before. The CD is v1.0 or similar. You would have to make minor patches for ever, if it even works, which I doubt.


    The sign up (creation of your account) for the Stress test starts on Thursday and it is free. Read this Announcement. Same as above actually.

    More information will come either here in the forum, or here on the main page.


    Since lots of people will proberbly download the client on Thursday do I assume it better to download it already now when you have a better bandwidth. And in the meantime can you test all the vehicles off-line and fix your key-mapping, which should take a few.

    Do you need to create a separate account for the Battlefield Europe open beta?

    I already had made an account for WWII Online a long time ago, and it still seems to be functioning.


    Also, this looks like a stand alone client. Do you need to even have the original game to login and play this one?

    this is not ww2online like the version you have, when open beta starts you have to download the latest client from their webpage. BE has not much in common with the first version of ww2online blitzkrieg, Battleground Europe is just an type of expansion pack.

    if you have still the cd-key probably you can use it for another subscribtion but better ask in their forums i cant tell you exactly how that works.

    first impression review from the current open beta (JOLTonlinegaming/UK)

    The World War II Online massively multiplayer series has been progressing steadily for a long time now, and Battleground Europe is the latest major release. The game dropped us right into a convincing World War 2 setting, and being completely new to this MMOG, we were both eager and inexperienced. So eager and inexperienced, in fact, that we ran straight into a seemingly innocuous village wearing full British military uniform only to find a whole battalion of German troops. Facing a defence that could’ve quite happily made mincemeat of a 100-man attack, we knew what was coming. Within the blink of an eye, a single gunshot was fired and our screen had turned blood red. Yep, one shot and you’re dead in this game. This is hardcore and from what we’ve seen so far, we like it a lot…

    This online shooter is all about realism, teamwork and following the orders given to you by your superiors. Follow enough orders and one day you’ll be delegating from a safe distance. Until then, though, you’re going to have to muck in. Rifle in hand, our character began following a small squad of three soldiers to that same Nazi occupied village. But this time we had the backup of a whole army, all converging on Jerry. Planes, tanks and riflemen were everywhere. This really is massively multiplayer. ...........................................

    Thanks for the beta!Ill beta-test it right away!Although i have like 6 other games to play and beta-test so it might get a little delayed.The games are ROSE Online,D.O. Online,Thang,OZ,AW,and Runescape.U should play alot of games to be a pro gamer.Check the game list often to keep track of beta games or if u want go to the weebsiet that u are using.I dont know if google has it but look anyways.
