rly man, i did soooo manny mmorpg's, sooo manny other genre games, and i dont know what to do annymore, nothing interests me annymore.. i've must had the whole Game List... but everytime i download annother mmorpg and start it, i take a look, kill some monsters, great thats it its all the same. im wondering if its me who ask to much of it...
annyway, is it that hard to make a great mmorpg? something thats totaly different from the rest, i got lots of ideas, and i guess im not the only 1, just wish they would make a mmorpg that doesnt get boring fast do something with the monsters or something, dont make them do the same moves all over again. do something about the items... gw/WoW, if u kill a monster u must click the monster and u see a little box with the items, i would say that can be done better. if u kill a monster with a sword, it will drop the sword out of his hands, so u can pick it up on the floor, that sounds more interesting to me... quest system is nice, but still i got the idea its missing something...not sure what. maybe it must give the feeling u rly did something good.. which i dont have much..
my language mite suck and im srry if u dont understand what i tried 2 say, atleast i tried

Sounds to me like your just tired of playing games, period. Perhaps it's time to try something different, sports perhaps ? Try going out and experience something different, take up chess, create a webpage, learn how to program ? Sounds like you just need something else to entertain you and a new hobby.
Games are supposed to be fun, MMO's especially, if you don't enjoy them, why even try to find one in the first place ?

Try a different game like planetside, that works for me.
For me as well. I tried WWIIO and I still liked PS better because it was easier to learn and it was relatively easy to get to the action. WWIIO is more of a realistic historical fps. Anyway, there are few MMOGs out there that are worth playing, and none of them I would pay to play at the moment. The ones I've enjoyed most in the past or look the most promising to try are:
Asheron's Call 1 (Original, Dark Majesty, Throne of Destiny), Planet Side, Dark Age of Camelot, Eve Online (if you're into Sci-Fi - might take a while to learn though), and Final Fantasy XI.
I just got off to a bad start on Saga of Ryzom so I quit it early. I've never tried Everquest, but I've heard that it's about as much as a grind as any other game. I played Lineage II for a while (in beta and on free servers); the only enjoyment I achieve from that game is looking at my 1337 armor and mount. I also got off to a bad start on Anarchy Online in beta and never went back to it (I'm not a big fan of Sci-Fi when it comes to RPGs). Horizons was fun for a while only because you could be a dragon; other than that the skill system - or lack thereof as I remember - was discouraging. I still liked the combat in that game though because it was one of the first games I had tried that implemented special moves. I was really looking forward to Shadowbane when I was still playing AC1, but now the setting seems too dark and gothic for me. Some or most of the music, as I remember, is horrid and vain. Other than that, I think it has open PvP for the most part which I enjoy and you can thieve in that game and siege player-built and run towns/cities, etc. Its graphics (which are very important for a graphical game - for you are to either have them or almost entirely do away with them) though were not to my taste. There is such a thing as rustic beauty, but this was rusty ugliness. As for Ultima Online, I hear it was better in its first days. I still think it might be good to check it out; playing it in 2d though looks better than 3d. I bought it, played it for a little while, but eventually quit. I was able to tame a dog and use it to fight against (I think) chickens and other dogs and then I would reward it if it won (heheh). It's still pretty cool, but I don't think I'd go back to it. I did have some fun times though - going through a swamp and other lands while keeping a virtual journal in a book.
Anyway, that's my take on the current games. All others I've either overlooked by accident or think they aren't even worth mentioning.

I'm probably one-sided toward's FPSs so I'd still probably enjoy Planet Side if I went back to it. Anyway, what do you mean by "all bases are the same"? I don't remember their exact designations, but there are airbases, biological labs (for implants), etc. There are even two or three versions of towers. The ones I remember though are gun towers and air towers. I enjoyed being a fighter pilot and hitting my after burners while flying through canyons in the desert - once in a while I would screw up. I remember trying to make it through a forest canopy with my after burners - between some branches and I rammed into a tree and blew my fighter up.
I was usually a Phoenix/Engy/Fighter Pilot for the NC. Phoenix was one of my favorite weapons. I tried flying to the tops of mountains in my mosquito and sniping too - which was fun for a while. VS was my first race because they looked pretty cool, but I soon found out that they sucked at release so I experimented with other factions. In my time of playing it, I've been pretty much everything: hacker, galaxy gunner, mosq. reav. pilot, infiltrator, gunner for tanks, lightning (my favorite tank) operator, tank driver, etc.
And about the bases - the bases in core combat are a lot different, but I didn't care to fight much in the asteroids (or whatever they were). Sorry, but most of that was reminiscence and little further information than you probably know. I still (I think) have yet to be a pilot for any battle armor though.

Have you tried Eve Online?
You're simply ignoring your main problem, which shae has already pointed out to you. You just need to stop playing games until you aren't burnt out on them any longer, because lets face it--no matter what anyone in this thread suggests to you, you're simply going to give some reason as to why it's just the same as everything else.
Honestly, you know what you need to do.
