Neverwinter: Get a Beta Key for PreOrdering Torchlight II

Neverwinter fans will be happy to hear that preordering Torchlight II will also score them a closed beta key for the game. The closed beta for Neverwinter is expected to kick off later in 2012.

As an added bonus to the purchase, anybody who pre-orders Torchlight 2 will receive access to Dungeon and Dragons Neverwinter when it enters closed beta later this year. Torchlight players will be among the first to receive a closed beta key to enter the realm of one of the year's most anticipated MMOs.
All players need to do is pre-order their copy of Torchlight 2 from Perfect World Entertainment

O-HO! Crafty bastards, PWE are. I'll still stick with Steam or go directly through Runic anyway. I've got enough on my plate as it is.
I'm going to end up buying at least two copies at release, no doubt about it. Guess I'll go ahead and pay for one now to get the beta access.

Man, remember when companies wanted to offer beta test invitations, to you know, TEST the games? Now it is just, "Pay us for this...". Not a fan...

I think he was refering to Neverwinter being f2p,but is misunderstanding that closed betas are not always just open doors to anyone who wants to try the game.

Great... now the companies are sinking to a lower state by forcing people to pay other products to get Beta access? What ever happened to giving Beta keys out to quality testers? Whats next, $5, $10 closed Beta access keys?

I was waiting for tl2 back in November and what i got was a "hey you have a lot of other games to play, you won't miss our game" instead....
It wouldn't be fair for me to judge the team working on Neverwinter by chaining them up with the poor performance of the STO team. I will see what Neverwinter will be about, see if it's any good ,and give it a fair chance. But will I bother with this preordering business? No, I just don't have that blind confidence in Cryptic that I would spend money on a beta. I like TL and I'm going to play TL2, but none of this preordering stuff.
