I have finally went out and ordered a 3d printer (buildatron 2), and now what I am after is some nice 3d models to print. To be more specific, I am after game character models such as Tera online game characters which I can print out for myself as a test. Is there a good site where I can get models of game characters?

That's amazing! I do it the old fashioned way with clay and wire, but that is pretty cool. Watching one of the videos it almost looked like the machine was creating the torso of one of my sculptures.

for directx 9 games you can use this program

needs some work to fix the errors.
then you can print your ingame character (and you could make a business out of that shit)
I would print something like this
