NO invisible crap, not to much CC for noobs to spam, and we can dodge attacks, magic, arrows.
finally a pvp system that takes some kind of skill. I hope Tera does well we need more companys to copy this kind of combat.
Daoc was real PvP ... I'm not sure what that says about TERA ; I'm just making the point that "real" is subjective and to me Twitch mmorpg combat has always been mind-numbingly easy skill wise. Which is why I enjoy it .... but not TERA, animation locks et al.

Not to mention Niche. FFA PvP has always been a Niche market and I am sorry to hear what will happen to the PvP servers months down the road when they become ghost towns. A niche element in a niche game doesnt bode well for the future of the game I feel.
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
Tera's PVP might be "real", it just isn't very good. It's just some FFA PVP tacked on to a PVE oriented game, not designed around it as some other titles are.
Missing from the game are any real risks vs rewards mechanics, (DF, EVE, MO) meaning you've got nothing really to lose by dying which makes it all rather pointless in the end.
You don't gain any extra abilities for PVP such as DAOC's Realm Ranks/skills either.
There's no cause to fight for. No keeps to take and hold (even DAOC's Mordered server offered that) a la Lineage 1/2, no territory and resources to take possession of and deny others from accessing. (see EVE)
Most importantly, while there is almost no risk, there's no way for players to control the level of risk they take in terms of being killed, no safe areas, no built in system of law such as EVE provides with its Concord system, which in the end relegates this form of combat to the small niche of players who kill others for the "fun" of it.
These servers will empty out first and quickly, once people realize they aren't fighting for anything unless the end game changes signifcantly.

So you'll fight without them, (at least until you have enough gold to not care) not really necessary.

Ever though that Maybe... Just maybe people Actually PVP for fun in TERA? Since when was PVP all about the gear grind and rewards? TERA has an epic GVG system, Awesome PVP ruleset as well as more to come. I mean fighting Over PVE worldbosses?BAMs is already plenty. We dont want another WOW.

It just doesn't work!
Games with successful open pvp (of which honestly i can only say EVE works, and that's because eve is EVE, it has no comparisons, is sandbox and pretty much completely player driven.) Even Eve has some relative safe zones, and you don't enter combat too lightly in EVE since you can lose your ship and everything on it...permanently.
If there's no risk of loss or no sort of objective or reward it becomes mindless killing, and as demonstrated by numerous mmos before this it just fails, it's human behaviour. Even FPS games figured this out, ffs even TF2 throws in rewards for playing.
This same scenario played out in Rift, endgame and the high level areas just devoid of players on pvp servers because you didn't have objectives to take, once you were kitted out in good gear you didn't need to go and farm mobs, so absolutely no reason to roam. If you did find someone killing them gave so little return it really wasn't worth your time.
I find Teras OWPvP to be one of the worst adaptations of pvp. No point to it whatsoever, and even when the monarch stuff comes in, and BGs are brought in, it will die even faster. You re going to see alot of "que BGs people!!!!!!!!"
