I just read the dev journal about the upcoming changes to Mxo. I think anyone who hasn't should go take a look at the possible changes. SoE seems to be doing exactly what I (i emphasis I, implying a preferance) want to see done to MxO. I think alot of the changes should be very beneficial to the game and non-players possibly like me. what does everyone think about the changes?
I know that if the changes go through as stated and planned I will definately be joining MxO, something I've wanted to say since release.

Read the disclaimer. This is DESIGN INTENT it is NOT a roadmap. Erik Kreb's is simply letting you pick his brain, and showing his cards. Whether the producers go with what he wants to do is a different story. And he knows that much and thats why he put the disclaimer. It's very possible that :
1) Some of these changes will never happen, or take a different form altogether / be radically different than what hes talking about
2) Not be here in any reasonable time frame, and thus irrelevant. (The fact they aren't here now is irrelevant, whenever a staff can admit the game is so stupidly messed up it means they should say "Leave the game ,come back in a few months when we've fixed it all up" but they wouldn't do that.)
So there you have it, the staff has acknowledged your fears and observations:
MXO is jacked up.
I would suggest you do not renew your account once it runs out UNTIL they've implemented these changes. (My account still has a few months left so, hopefully theyll be in before I come to that scenario)
This a is new feature soon to be implemented
Demoku: Anarchy Online (Rimor)
I'm not even subscribed right now I played until the bitter end of beta and saw nothing worth my money. But like I said if the proposed ideas ARE implemented it could be an mmo that could potentially tap into the 'untapped potential' that is there.
as cool as the matrix world is, this game needs a major revamp
http://wasta.bravehost.com/ It's from that image. I don't know -why- he's doing that.. but.. well.. I still don't know.. He must be happy that's for sure.
Couls somone post a link to the proposed combat changes thread? Didn't see it in Dev tracker or announcments, too lazy to look anwhere else
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
Here is the link to the changes that the Dev's MIGHT change. Verying promising.

Snake-Eyes
The Bounty Hunter Juggernaut
Wow, thanks for the link. If the feedback from the changes is positive, I may one day be able to justify frireing up my all access account again.

if they even maake a few of these changes (particuarly to combat) i'd return. I only played for the free month, before cancelling my account. It was a shame, i really liked the setting and the game (it made a change from all the fantasy games i play )
Running away from anything more than 1 enemy was a joke, resulting in getting killed. THATS the main reason i left. The Dev didn't mention anything about that, but im sure that it must be a concern.
lets hope they fix it
1. The pills discussed are in (something like 'activity consumable' I forget the exact term), so Stun 1.0 does not = automatic win anymore.
2. awhile ago they added an 'interlock immunity' timer to avoid the 3mobs-on-1 = death scenario (where you'd rollout of IL with one to get interlocked by the next, etc. The 'pass him around' style of mob fighting) so you can actually escape from a group of enemies now. Roll-out and you get 5 secs during which you cannot be dragged back into interlock. Just enough time to HJ away, or find an elevator.
I'm personally concerned by the expansion of free-fire to include melee ("which is similar to standard MMO melee-combat." One of the reasons I liked MxO was that melee combat wasn't just like the standard MMO model. Oh well.
But hope that helps you rinoamw
yes it does thanks.
Are the controls improved at all tho? from what i remember foward was always the way the character was facing (not the way the camera was facing), and jumping was a joke...
if theres even alittle bit of improvement, then i will re-new my subscription tonight
are there alot off ppl still playing it?
