Turbine Moves AC1 Home

Dear AC1 subscribers,

After significant consideration, we have decided to move the AC1 live team back to Massachusetts. This is the right decision to support AC1 going forward, allowing us to better coordinate between the game and support teams.

During this transition, we plan to provide uniquely fun live events for everyone to enjoy.

Best regards,

Vijay Lakshman
VP Production, Turbine

The question has been asked about status of AC1 possibly shutting down.

According to Callandryl, Turbine's Director of Community Relations, nothing. Here is hoping it is true. I played AC2 from beta for first 6 months, it was ok. But AC1 has always been "home" for many years.

Calandryl saying AC1 stays

There are no plans to shut down AC1 at this time. Obviously I can't predict the future, but AC1 is in a very different situation than AC2 and it is our intention to continue supporting AC1.

"...very different situation than AC2..." a.k.a. twice as many subscribers.
