My big concerns about D3 is open world PvP, the ladder and RMAH.

If for any reason they have open world PvP and and a competitive environment such as ladder system with a real money sales involved I fear that my state may well call is illegal gambling because it will now become necessary for me to use said real money to ensure my investment in time of my character is not in vain since my character is hardcore.

The reasons behind removal of the current PvP was eSport with any real money involved directly is considered illegal gambling in some states and countries. It appeared to become necessary to pay to win for profit where as the way it is set up right now it is only optional.

I am really watching this close because right now the laws are being pushed to the grey area and if they push it to far it my well spell disaster.

You have full control over who you play the game with.  You don't have to join a game with strangers.

I haven't seen anything to suggest they will move to an open PVP only type of system in the future.  I think many would like to join open PVP games but even that's not on the table.

Yeah, I am watching it too.  If they remove the RMT AH this game shifts from boycott to must buy.  Even though I know it's more in the spirit of craptastic Warcraft than the grim and gritty non-pastel, non-best-in-slot-gear world of Diablo.

I am buying the game but I am concerned with the fact that they 'may' add PvP and 'may' add RMAH to HC game play. It is not ruled out. However, in some states where games are considered eSport they are banned and illegal. I would hate to loose out this great game. I know in the far east eSport games are considered a form of gambling.

It's already been stated that there will be NO ladder with D3 and NO open world PvP.

PvP will be arena only with no visable ranking system. It's more for fun than for any competition. The only thing that'll be shown PvP wise is W-L ratio.

Hey Don't worry LOL I am amped up for D3. Concern is developers sometimes give in to the whining of others and then the big changes happen. I lived through a lot of changes in EQ2 which now is become a P2W game and I watched all the changes implemented in PvP kill off many classes in the holy name of BALANCE.

If D3 ever goes eSport and or becomes under the laws of my state, an illegal game, I and many others a screwed.

    No worries. ;)

I find it odd though that the state may consider it eSport and gambling.... when there's no real chance of making money.

When gambling... you're paying for a chance to win more $$$, that's the only reason to gamble. There's no other option. With RHAM, I guess it could be argued people would spend money to in turn, farm mobs to sell loot, but that is not the sole purpose, like with gambling.

Some lawmakers are just plain silly.
