Ever since a dev was found cheating in EvE-Online I don't so blindly trust developer studios. It doesn't help that founding members of Bluehole studio was convicted in Korean supreme court last month http://www.inven.co.kr/webzine/news/?news=43641
Now Bluehole studio got away easy in Korea, but far as I know case is still pending in U.S. court. It doesn't help blueholes case that their founding members were found guilty in Korea. Basically it just confirms that Tera is based on stolen assets even though whole studio isn't guilty for it. Also I would guess U.S copyright laws are more strict.
What I am bit worried about is that after few months of launch Bluehole and En Masse lose the case in U.S. and forced to stop operating, which would result that players who paid for the game lost money.

Well first of all Tera isn't a "stolen assets". Part of it is but not the entire game itself. The story goes the devs were working on Lineage 3 and the project got scraped for whatever reason. So the dev team quit and went to bluehole studio and started making Tera. So yes they probabaly used some ideals they had for lineage 3 for Tera, and legally thats not allowed. However when you look at it the other way , they were the ones who invented the ideal in the first place, so legally yes they were wrong but idk i guess depends how you view things, I personally don't side with the companys =X.
Second as the whole case thing went, BlueHole studio was already found not guilty and only three indiviual dev was found guilty of selling company trade secrets(which they never said what it even was). So NCSoft's case in U.S. is against En Masse, which really has nothing at all to do with any of it, I highly doubt its going to go anywhere at all.
The developers in question were found guilty of having taken the assets.
The company was found not guilty because the assets were not used.
The only way NCSoft will get an injuction is if they can show that they are being materially harmed by the ongoing operation of TERA. Given that NCSoft never bothered to move forward with L3 (until just recently but that could be just talk) they will have a very difficult time demonstrating how TERA is negatively impacting the sales of their vaporware.
Troll harder.
All die, so die well.
Now whole Bluehole studio can't be held accountable for it, but that doesn't change that it's founding members were found guilty and that Tera is based on stolen Assets which these founding members used. Whole Tera theme look like Lineage 3, but then again all Asian mmos look same to me.
Nope what happened was the main developers of L2 were tasked to start concepts on L3. When the developers showed NCsoft what they had, NC scrapped the project because at the time L2 was doing good and they did not want to hurt it with the production of L3.
The developers got mad, took the resources and left NCsoft and tried to sell it to a Japanese software company. That company told the authorities. They got fined and one or two of them had to do some jail time and the source codes were returned to NCsoft. BHS was formed well after that period.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

Long story short, I trust Bluehole as much as any other company which is much more than I trust the OP

Wow, such geniune, admirable concern. Doesn't read like there's an agenda AT ALL.

I am actually considering buying Tera, but I am bit unsure about it since MMOs aren't like single player games which you can play no matter what ever happen to developer company or how popular game gets. I guess I will just wait and see few months and see how the case in U.S. goes. I would have already bought Tera, if Bluehole studio didn't have such history behind it.
It's worth noting that multiple MMO news sites used the same link only to take it back days later when the "not guilty" verdict was in. Shady workings me thinks. EME commented on it:

Sorry it's not a working link, I'm on a phone lol
Just not worth my time anymore.
