Coming back to Lineage2.....

Hello everybody,

before going to the questions I'd like to ask, I reckon it is worth to have "a chat" about my situation.

It was a foggy night in winter 2005 and my rage towards Ncsoft and Lineage 2 in general was badly fueled by the coming up of GG and the terrible customer support offered by them.

I was already pretty pis~~d off by the constant presence of farmers, botters, ebayers and gg was the last straw that made me decide to quit L2. Right after I joined WOW and I tought I could have had some true fun with another PvP game....and I did have some good fun, and I am still having it but I always felt that I was missing something.

Then I tried GW, but still there was something missing.

So after 6 months I decided to have a look, just for curiosity, at a couple of L2 related sites and hera I was ready to jump back into the game.

Lineage 2 is a difficult game, it has a horrible grind, a terrible customer support, some of the worst gankers u could ever meet but I miss very much its cruel economy and concept of game life.

Clans, sieges, wars politic...nowhere else could u find such things.

Therefore here I am, ready to reactivate my account (after the holiays)!!

And here are the questions:

1)Is GG "hurting" very much the pc's performance? still active once L2 is not played?

2)I will definetly restart my char. in Teon: how it the server? Is it worth staying there?

3)anything that a "homecomer" should know...

    1) Some people have had GG errors when logging into the game. I have not. GG does not remain running once you exit the game.

    2) Don't know about Teon.

    3) Most servers have players now fully enjoying the high-level content. On my server, starter towns are barren, as is Gludio and most low level hunting spots. However, you can barely walk in Giran because of all the people. Aden is also becoming quite populated. The catacombs and necros are good new hunting spots. There is a lot more participation in sieges. Low-levels getting pk'd is very rare now, but PvP in the higher levels is escalating.

    Your singing my song.

I just reactivated my account 3 days ago. Finally got my scratch. Im a Level 41 SpellHowler on Erica It feels just like home.

Lots of new stuff, enjoying the grind and the fear of death.

     Love you long time!

    1) GG is annoying but not that big of a deal. They've worked out most of the issues.

    2) Teon is great if you're on European time. Otherwise I'd suggest Kain, Sieg or Bartz. Bartz is the most populated and the politics is most complex. Sieg is two-sided so you can participate in PvP even at lower lvls, and Kain is full of rowdy gankers that PvP constantly without really needing a reason to.

    3) Nukers are the current FOTM ^.^ .. go nuker or archer if you want to have fun in PvP. Unless you're like me and enjoy playing support. (Daggers are pretty terrible at the moment).

    MMO Fav List:
    Lineage 2 | 5x Silver Ranger, 7x Shillien Elder <- Active
    WoW | 6x Rogue, 1x Priest
    Anarchy Online | 8x MetaPhysicist
Saga of Ryzom | Matis Light Armourer

Waiting for: Age of Conan, Lineage 3

i have not had a single problem with gameguard since i upgraded my computer, so my guess is that there's no problem with gameguard itself; it just requires a certain computer standard. i could be wrong, i'm no expert. however, i can say, that l2walker is still working :(

i switched to teon a couple of months ago, and i have to say, that i'm very happy with my move (moved from devianne). there's no one dominant alliance. the power is nicely spread out between alliances. i don't personally get into server politics, but if you like that sort of thing, i don't think teon will leave you wanting more.
