Thoughts on UI customization?

What do you think about Tera Online's UI customization?

Granted they dont have a TON of addons and such but the UI is still pretty configurable, resizable, and moveable.

What do you think about it, here's an example of what can be done.

    I like it a lot, it's comprehensive enough that I don't feel gimped by the lack of support for third party UI addons. However I did note some interesting things.

    A) Why can't the chatbox be resized as much as the rest of the UI? It has an extremely limited size range you can manipulate through the corner drag. I wanted to make it very small (since I play with my friends on skype and don't need to read messages) but found even the smallest chat box size to be fairly large.

    B) You can't add individual skill buttons as far as I can tell and only entire rows or pages of empty hotkeys, not sure why they did this as it makes it rather inflexible.

    C) I do enjoy how you can move elements like CD countdowns but you can't move some things like your charge bar which can make it hard to see sometimes.

    However overall I find it to be very nicely done since most elements can be disabled and/or resized. Of course I personally think WoW's attitude toward addons of "if you can make it you can use it" is still the way to go, since it helps build a nice community which will always come up with features the developers themselves didn't even think of.

    Main thing Im missing is some form of damage meter /parser I know a lot of folks hate those types of things but they really help people get the damage sorted and find out the best ways to dps on their toons.

    There have been heated discussions on the EME forums about damage meters. So much so I wonder if a dev brought it up just to see the reception it would get. It wouldn't be the first time they've done that lol. I think a damage meter would be great for yourself to make sure you're pulling your weight. Integrating it as a group deal, not so sure with LFD.

    TERAs UI as a whole I think us great but I like minimalistic UIs I can move around so I'm biased. I can see why some would say it's pretty bland. Maybe they will release or allow skins to adorn the windows. Spruce it up a bit for people.

    Just not worth my time anymore.

    As a user of Eyefinity I have to say. Tera has the best default UI I have ever seen in a game. With the ability to move and lock all facets of UI windows I have been able to utilize my "n" map on my right monitor at all times and am able to move anything to fit my desire. I have no need for any UI customization beyond this and that to me is beyond my expectations.

    I think Tera has the one of the best defult UI without any 3rd party addon. Although i never touch UI's much but its nice to move things when I need to ^_^
