One of the most overused classes, but still very unique. I wanted to know what your guys's views on the rogue were and what is the best race stat wise for this class. I've noticed a huge surge in the NE section, so I have a feeling that's the answer.

Night Elves are the best for Rogue, they have shadowmeld too which is amazing for Hunters!

Rogues are fun simply because you aren't sitting in front of your PC clicking 1 button at a time starring at your toon killing a mob.
-Stealth
-Sneak up behind a mob without being caught
(You can't just sneak up anywhere, cause even with MoD talent you can still get caught)
-Ambush / Cheap Shot
(Depending on the situation, you have to chose wisely, you can even Pickpocket too!!!)
-Then begins the combos. I hemmorage, Sinister Strike x2, then Eviscerate. Mobs the same level or under are usually dead by now, or I just SS once or twice and then they die.
-In groups: Kidney Shot, Backstab x2, then Sinister Strike, Eviscerate...
Anyways, all in all, there's a lot more than just: attack, special attack, special attack, dead.
Best example are: 1 handed mouse players VS 2 handed mouse+keyboard players.
I can play my level 60 hunter & paladin with 1 hand on my mouse and my other than is free to smoke or drink. ROGUE? HELL NO... I can't just play with my mouse and click attacks on my toolbar every now and then. Rogues are so fast, you need your left hand on your keyboard to quickly select the next attacks to build up your combos ASAP. Not to mention you gotta pay attention to where the mob is facing just so you can go behind'em and send in a Backstab every now and then.
I love my Rogue. Hopefully it stays that way cause he's only at level 49. I have yet to reach level 60.

NE look stupid, no matter what class.
If by PvP you mean PK/Ganking, yes rogues are great. Sneak up on someone while they are low life/low mana, rogue will kill them.
But if someone ever spots an unstealthed rogue, the rogue will die. He has no defense and caster like HP.
But please, go play NE rogue like the other 40% of the alliance. You'll stand out in the crowd and you'll just love how easy it is to get an instance group when there are 40 people in your guild shouting "NE Rogue LFG <insert instance name here>".
I've got 2 level 60s, working on my 3rd, and I've got an alt of every class, except paladin. There are NO classes that can be played by just hitting 1 button....at least not played well.
Rogues do have to mash more buttons, but after a while, I found it to be rather annoying. I find it much more enjoyable when I don't have to push 5 buttons every second of every fight.

Rogues are a pretty versitile class, many builds, many play styles.
I currently own any rogue with incredible ease-- even if they gank me, but I am an MC Axe crit 31/20 axe crit build.
3-5(sometimes less) hits usually, overpower crits for 1k+, MS crits for 1k+, execute crits fr 4k+.
