Will it last?

I'll start by saying, I love Tera, I really do. But I wanted others thoughts on this: Will it last?

An MMO can only live so long as people play it, so, given what you know and enjoy about Tera so far, do you think it'll last, and let's put forth a valid point right at the start, do you think it'll last one full year?

And please, for the love of god, don't start any comparisons to other games.

I see it last at least good 2 years or so, after that idk. As of now Tera has a decent PvE with its end game dungeon and hard modes to keep people farming for a while. PvP is really nice speicall once people cap and GvG really kicks off. Added that we are getting battleground soon and hopefully server vs server so that would keep the game going for a while. How long it last after 2 years or so really depends on how the dev updates the game.

I can't predict the future, but I know I'll be playing until Borderlands 2 comes out.  So Tera has my summer.  I actually want to log in and play unlike most other MMO's of recent years.

TBD is the only answer available.

It will last for ME as long as the Devs don't make the same 'mistake'(imo) of making a MMO revolve around queue-pops & BG's only. Keep it open air open world so the game feels alive rather than standing around in your capital spamming trade chat.

    One full year????

Take a look at the list of games that have not lasted one full year and compare them to Tera.

I see a typical cycle for Tera.  1 year as is.  Then 1 year discounting the box price to 29.99, 19.99 etc.  Then eventually just the price of the sub.

Eventually 3 years or so down the line F2P.

It's an awful lot of fun. I think it's PvP proponent will carry it through its shortfalls for endgame PvE content.

I don't think it will stay as a sub game for very long. It'll go B2P with a cash shop within 2 years, and honestly... I really don't know why they didn't go that route in the first place.

I lament at the growing server queue. That a healthy sign for a game unlike certain recent failure
