There are no goals in this game, and dynamic events are only slightly better than quest grinding. I boughg the game because im sure itll give me a few weeks of entertainment, but lets be realistic here people. Also for people saying there are no other games out there like gw2, Warhammer Online was very similar.

Ha, didn't you hear?  WvWvW tab-target with dodge roll PVP will be so epic why would you need a system/goals in place that makes gameplay actually meaningful?  LOL

GW2 "built from the ground up with microtransactions in mind"
    1) Cash->Gems->Gold->Influence->WvWvWBoosts = PAY2WIN
    2) Mystic Chests = Crass in-game cash shop advertisements

I absolutely loathed the dodge setup.  Frustrating and didn't really help me much.  "AOE! Dodge out!" *dodge, dodge* out of stam, still in aoe.  Dead.

I think they just need to make stamina drain slower.  Maybe 3 dodges, or 4.  2 might not be enough for some fights.

Doesn't really matter if they change it, I don't really expect to use it much.  It's a crap system that on paper would look feasible, but in practice, it's just a waste of precious seconds in a fight.

Yeah, good luck with not using it much.  lol

Hmm, I'm was able to use it in my fights fine, I thought it worked as advertised! I guess it's not for everyone. /shrug Good luck!

Edit: Eir_S used good luck.  I take it back and say happy gaming!

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

    **sigh**

Come talk to me after 2-3 months of good quality playtime. Lets see how "epic" the game is then, after the "new game" feeling wears off.

As good as the game may be I just dont see long term viability. But being that there is no sub I do see people popping in every now and then playing off and on.

Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
    Now Playing: N/A
    Worst MMO: FFXIV
    Favorite MMO: FFXI

Honestly, you sound like one of those players who is solely focused on trying to find reasons why this game will fail.

Yes, there is absolutely a new game feeling, every game has that. However, there are definitely mechanics in place to provide longevity. The great thing is, there isn't even just 1 main mechanic that people are looking forward to, every seems to have found their own things to get excited about in this game. For most MMOs that have come out recently, players didn't have that option. It was 'you like highlighted feature A, or you don't enjoy the game'.

Will people still be playing this game in 2-3months? I'm willing to bet that, yes, they will be. Not only is there a TON of stuff to do in the game, but the game doesn't exactly have tough competition atm. It definitely has things it can improve on, but it's not missing key-features. I do hope they add a little more flavor to their structured PvP, though.

Unlike every new MMO that has come out in the past ~7-10years, this game is very burnout friendly. You aren't forced to keep up w/ the grind to stay relevant. People will be playing this game for a while, unless Anet screws up something royally.
