LF a new mmo to pass time till GW2
can anyone recommend me a mmo that has pvp/open world pvp in certain area's after a certain lvl has been reached.. doesnt take ages to level and is free to play not a pay to win if possible??
i been playing Aion for 2yrs plus and now would like to try somthing new!!! thanks all 
i dont want a mmo with a free to play model with a p2p model on top to unlock everything you would want to do in a mmo

I know what you mean... In the last month i have tried around 11-12 MMOs (eventually i think i tried more or less all 20-25 games from the top down list of this site - the most Hyped ones...) and couldn't find anything fun. I still have like 7-8 of them installed but can get no joy from any of them... It actually kinda cleared my schedule so i have wayyyyy too much time now and feeling wayyyyy too bored most of the time at home
EDIT: i don't even mind paying for it - i enjoy paying for a good game (i think they deserve it) - but still nothing to be seen in the horizon (only think i am looking for now is TLII and Raiderz, and a bit for a few other ones from Perfect World which i hope will live up to my hype of them).
Ohh and maybe waiting also for "The Repopulation" and for Neverwinter...

Yup. Feel the same. Hell, I went back to single player games. Playing Skyrim now. Fun. Deep. But empty. Guess Im spoiled. Also been playing Eden Eternal F2P which is decent. I like levelling in it.
you just hit my exact thooughts right on QUE......i guess i can only wait for the release of GW2 thanks alot for replying . were their any mmo's that u played u enjoyed the least bit?
ahhh i forgot bout eden eternal maybe i can go back to my bard and kite like 30 mobs and AoE them lol eden eternal any better than it was at release?

i wish GW2 would release already im so bored without it lol i dont like playing in beta even though i got the game already.... i dont like the fast if i stay up all weekend playing a toon and it gets deleted
But i thank GW2 is a great game verry dynamic....plus it b2p which beats any p2p in my book
Playing Star Trek online is fun once you pass about lvl 6, of course im playing it with my wife which may make all the difference. Other than that as you said Aion... my wife is really looking forward to Neverwinter in the summer that might be a good time until GW2 is out. cant wait!

is their a maybe release date for GW2?? also ive played star trek online i cant rem what lvl i got too but i got a new ship sold it and got another so yea.... i just cant decide guess ill stick to killing asmo on Aion lol

Yeah unfortunately Aion seems to be your best bet. i went as far as trying to even go back into my roots and in the last 60 days have played Ultima online, 4th coming. ff11 online and today i downloaded.. .played for 5 mins.. and deleted perfect world lol. about the only thing besides aion and my ps3 that are keeping me company during college finals is need for speed world. kinda fun slamming other people into the cops hahaha

yes but age of conan has a p2p model with it so its somthing i wont play

yea Aion is what im gonna stick with i have also DL'ed PWI played it till like lvl 15 than deleted and well started playing Aion again.... cant wait for gw2 any release date for it yet??
I don't plan on paying a cent in AoC. I am just going to mess around in it til GW2. It is still F2P enough to get me by until then. But, Aion is good too.

Have you tried Lotro? As far as PvE, I think it is the best on the market currently.
For those that are able to take off their ridiculous "WoW Clone Goggles", RIFT is the best MMO on the market atm. I see nothing on the horizon that will be able to take it's place.
First MMO since DAoC (and previously, EQ) that could hold my attention for more than a month or so.

anyways i have played RIFT and played it for a very long time love the events etc etc and the rift's but as i said i can afford a psp game and rift is p2p with a free to play model to suck people in as sais before only truly free game is Aion really well as far as games i enjoy
Diablo > Secret World > GW2.
They will all probably suck, because gaming isnt made for gamers anymore. Either way thats how im going waste my money in the future.
I also dabble in World of Tanks, wich is fun sometimes.
well how old are you??? cause well im 21 and they say somtimes the older you get the less enterest u have in games so maybe u need to moves on to golf "D anyways people have their diff opinion about games and WoT i played also got my king tiger my t30 and got a is-7 so yea im bored of it i got all the tanks i wanted 30 tanks on my list in all since i spend a good bit of money buying extra slots etc but now its a lame gane even if they released new tanks etc plus the World of warplanes game they got its pretty good im in the beta of it also

Im old. Games nowadays really suck.
I cant even get a good competative ffa pvp game these days because of the "to hard" "unfair" "its too difficult" crybabies.
And yes, funny you should say that, but i just started playing golf...and its really fun

well thats why im gonn stick to Aion till gw2 is out cause its a ok pvp game if u know what u r doing lol and the cry babies well i just /block <their name here> etc etc
and and about D3 its might be good but again its gonna fail cause it has a real cash shop trade broker in it lol sooooo lame and alot of other flaws not worth mentioning but anyways my taste in games leans toward gw2 and ill be on Aion till than pvping with my chanter ;D
the only MMO i would ever consider recommending is EVE.
other than that, i highly recommend dota2 and D3, assuming you havent already beat Skyrim and ME3 a few times.
I've been playing shot online and having a blast
I started playing EE March 2012 so not sure if it changed (drastically) from when you played. I am around level 37 and its a fun time passer. It is 'grindy' but easy to pick up dailies and guild requests to make sure you get XP for your work. I just got into crafting so Im back off to Aven.
