This game seems like an mmorpg based in the Supernatural series universe, pretty cool stuff.

I really like a lot of the ideas and gaming concepts for TSW.

Unfortunately I'm not one of those people that like horror/gore genre stuff of fighting zombies/undead with shotguns and crowbars.  Fortunately there are many people that are, and I think this could be an amazing game for them.

well don't expect to see Dean or Sam anywhere ingame... it is modern times thats about the only connection I see:)

    love the show BTW!

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

Not just lovecraftian stuff, but seems like almost every monster from Bigfoot to Cthulhu are in the game.

Take combat and general game play from CoH, Add in Character progression from SWG, A litte Anarchy Online for crafting, A little bit of WoW questing, and well, there you have it. It's not a bad game, Seems fairly on the ball technically...That is to say, this has the potential to be the smoothest launch in FC's history. (Shouldn't be that difficult to do) But overall.......meh. It's OK. It'll be a niche game.

People who will play it for the story, lore and setting will like it. People looking for innovative mechanics and game play, won't find what they are looking for. It won't take long to feel like you've "been there, done that" (By long, I mean a few hours)

pretty good assesment actually but having all those features in one game does make it pretty fun.. also as you see little bit of the skill wheel here http://tsw.mmoz.pl/tsw-skillwheel.html For me best part is being able to switch builds. I get very very bored being stuck into a single role throughout a game or having to start over everytime I want to try something new. Rift had me hooked for about 6 months mostly due to the soul system alone. I spent countless hours making fun soul builds. Anyway I do agree it's not going to be a smash hit but I do think it'll fair better than funcoms last offerings.

That's exactly why I loved......and then hated Rift. During the leveling, experimenting with game play styles was incredibly fun. Not being locked into something. Find things that worked for you. Custom tailoring your character's abilities to your own whim. What an awesome concept. Too bad it didn't pan out that way at 50. In the end, It all came back to cookie cutter specs again.

true cookie cutters did happen although at least in PVP you could always come up with something that worked well.. I used to write many guides over in the rift rogue forums on builds I came up with that weren't cookie cutter. Also look at taugrim he made several non standard builds and showed how to use them very well... in this game you have even more possibilities so I'm really excited about that

I don't think I could actually care less about originality or innovation in this game; having a setting that isn't high fantasy and character dialogue that doesn't appear tailored to tweens has actually given me a game to look forward to this year.

Maybe it's just me the skill system in place here reminds me of Magic: The Gathering in a tournament setting, which is to say you are limited in the number of cards (skills) but the way you stack your deck is totally up to you.  You can also change out your entire deck between tournaments so you aren't stuck with way of playing, all you need is access to the cards.  The system present in TSW is basically identicle to this and while people could argue up and down about "cookie cutter" builds in Magic too the fact remains a well played "odd" deck was still effective in the right hands.  Hopefully this analogy holds true.
