Need a CD key for trial?

in Everquest II
OK i DL'd the game and its asking me for an account  key found on the cover of the CD?  I dont have the CD's that why I DL'd the trial.  Where do you get this key from?

    You could always go donate some plasma at your nearest blood bank, that could get you the necesarry funds to play EQ2...  Or you could whore yourself out to fat chicks...

    You dont need a key. Its been awhile since I tested the Trail but all you need it a e-mail and make an account.
    The key part is when you want the whole game.

    Negative.  When I run the trial it loads up the main screen then asks for a CD key.

    Hm, ok. Tell you what. Since you seem to be having such a hard time with this I will download the trail and test it out. Just give me some time to dl and patch.

    I will let you know what I find out.

    OK. I did not have to enter any key. Here is what I did step by step.

    1. Download the trail http://www.trialoftheisle.com/download.vm

    2. Install. Once you have installed the program, start it. This will bring up a window with 2 links. Pick the one called "Play EverQuest II - Trail of the Isle". This will then start the SOE Launcher.

    3. You now are on the "login" section. Hit the "New Account" button, and fill in the information needed, and make a security "question".
    Make a "Handel" for the forums and then cheak off the bottom square stating that you have read and agree on the terms. Hit submit.
    At the end you should get up a button saying "Activate Trail"

    4. Run the Launcher again and let it patch (will take some time).

    5. Login.

    Not once did I get up a question to enter a key. My guess is you hit "Purchase Full Version of EverQuest II" or something.

    Or maybe you have been trying so long that the trail time is over. Make a new account.

    Sorry, I just saw this.  ok, I click on "play trial of the isle" and it takes me to the "create acct or use existing acct".  I have 2 accounts so I click use existing.  Then it askes for the cd key.  And thx for answering, I had given up.

    I went back just now and made a 3rd account, get done and it again asks for the CD key.

     

    This is exactly what im doing.  I go to "Play EverQuest II - Trail of the Isle".  Click it.  Then starts the launcher.  Then asks what acct.  If i pick make new acct or use existing accout, as soon as I get done it brings up the CD key window.

    OK i figured it out.  The problem was I had DL'd the program from Fileplanet.  The full 1.7G.  EQ2's DL is only 17M, then it has you DL the rest through the patcher.  For some reason it didnt like the FP DL.  Thanks alot for the help!  (Now i just gotta wait for 1.5 hours for the patch to finish).
