That is where I was a lot growing up was Nanaimo, Victoria coastal Canadian areas. My dad had a little boat and we spent a lot of time in the San Jaun islands (both US and CAN). Canadians are very friendly and hospitible people...they seem to have a cool outlook on life.
I am originally from the Seattle area (Whidbey Island)...and I am actually at the end of a 2 week trip there right now I am just finishing up my mail check in the hotel and I will be leaving "Sea-Town" for Hawaii in about 2 hours. I will not miss this cold-ass place one bit!

i heard that seattle has the highest suicide rate in the country cuz it rains all the time. scary. i still wanna move there though, the only time i go outside is when there some type of precipitation. the big yellow ball in the sky scares the hell outta me!

I lived in Washington State for 24 years. It may not rain a lot - but you can go like 2-3 months at a time without seeing the sun...it is really gray and gloomy!

Admin has no luck on picking his day to come back and visit.
I've been to Seattle a few times and stayed on Vancouver Island (which is a rain forrest)... and it didn't really rain at all..
It's just like guns... you only hear the bad things on TV... and it's like Seattle... You only hear that it rains a lot...
In Connecticut it rains a lot, but you don't hear it... why do you think my town is called "New London"
And I live in "New England"
