PlanetSide 2 is shaping up to be a 'must watch' game for many fans of the original game and for those who love to gun and run. We caught up with Assistant Game Designer Xander Clauss to talk about one of the three factions in the game, the Terran Republic. Check it out!
MMORPG.com: There are some great aspects to the empires in PlanetSide 2. Can you tell us what sets the Terran Republic apart from the other empires?
Xander Clauss: The Terran Republic is the militaristic government faction of Auraxis. They seek to bring peace to the planet under their rule, though the N.C. and V.S. think of them as oppressive and heavy-handed.

My frustration with the game is
---- the company has given ZERO indication on when the game is comming out(yes I'm very interested)
---therefore I get frustrated when we have this dribbeling if information bit no indication of ANY timeline for launch
my answer to the frustration----stop listening to the information
(as an x marketing guy,I can understand the desire to stay in the public's eye.BUT with a little thought they might realize that even the "dance of the 7 veils" gets old after the 18th veil.)My suggestion...give their trail of crumbs SOME, even vague, end point.It would give me some reason to pay attention.
I'm looking forward to Planetside 2, but no mention of when the game is coming out makes me think they're not going to make the 2012 mark for release this year.

Really looking forward to this game, will have to get a new GFX card though i suspect. My old 8800GTS will most likley not hack it any more.

I played PS 1 and had one major gripe with the game that I hope is not in PS 2; and that was PK'ing (killing your own faction members without them agreeing to PVP). And worse (IMHO) was sitting in an installation waiting for the enemy to arrive just to have one of your own faction dummies go around destroying your turrets, mines, etc. that you had so painstakingly placed. More than once I saw this happen and it made me very unhappy with the game. If that is the same in PS 2, I will not be there. Yes, I and a number of others complained about this more than once, but it was never corrected.
