Probably fixed the mesmer portal exploit. Will try it anyways. If it still exists than that will crash the server pretty quickly.
Never heard of this one. Exactly what does it do that potentially makes servers unhappy?
Anyway, perfect EU times. Last BWE the EU login server practically made the whole of Friday unplayable for many EU players (I was one of the dedicated few who bashed the login button enough to eventually get in), and I know several people who completely ignored the entire weekend because of the server instability and inability to even log in. I think this might be why they picked a time that perfectly suits Europe, to try to fix that issue for the next event, and perhaps to give us some extra hours to make up for that lost Friday.
I think ANet is realizing just how much faster they can get the game out with more of these tests. I hope to see lots more in recent weeks. Does anyone suppose they'll have the GPU issue fixed this time around, or do you think that optimization will be much closer to release?

As far as I know, and judging from barely ~40 mb client update it's mostly netcode optimization and probably potential fixes for login throttling. There won't be any actual game bug fixes in this stress test. All this is about is checking if the the updates to network they made actually help or not while also giving people the chance to fool around for few hours to keep their interest.

It was mentioned elsewhere that we'd be on the same client as the last test, hence no character wipe. While the 40mb patch may have fixed a few issues, I don't get the impression we'll see a massive difference in anything aside from connectivity (possibly fixes for issues getting people into the same instance?).
I think you're right, seems like this is about testing alterations related to network issues prior to the next big weekend event.

I second that. Europe gets the prize this time (I already informed my boss that I won't be super-efficient on tuesday morning)
