CoV beta?

I just preordered CoV... and it says that i can play the beta and everything, but is the beta even up. I think its not up yet, but that would be stupid because it said that the beta would come out in august... and its almost the end of august. So does any one have any info on this? (When exactly does the game come out?)

    yeah, very first round of City of Villians beta has started! Woot to those who got in! *kicks those same people when not looking* :)

    They did the same thing for those that ordered CoH.  The preorder beta invites were sent shortly before release.  Don't expect to get in till October or November.

    damn ncsoft... i was starting to enjoy them but after they pull something like this, maybe i shouldnt get the game... idk, but they should really mention it somewhere so idiots like me who have no idea just go up and buy the pre order

    Since ya'll have pre-ordred the game. If you don't need your COH 14 day free trial please send it to lil_icecube1991@yahoo.com because i really want to play it, but i can't because my mom is busy trying to buy repairs for the house, and were not that rich, so please email it if you have no need for it.

    Not sure if this means anything, but I pre-ordered CoV a while back with gamestop and they sent me my beta disc on 9/1/05. Havn't received it yet but should be in any day now. Usually that means the second wave of the closed beta should start soon and everyone who preordered should get in.

    If you got the Preorder box then maybe it is something good if not then it is just the pre order package.

    there is some nice stuff in the box, but the regestration for the beta sounds like it may be a download.

    The second wave of the closed beta has just recently started, Thursday or Friday the 9th. I'm sure after the closed beta ends all the pre-order people will be let in wave after wave until we blow the server up all toasty like. ::::28::

    I wouldn't be to pissed at those of us that got in. I managed to get the in and at the point you go to DL the file required it fails. I've emailed support but I doubt I'll hear from them anytime soon.

    I had the same problem, tried it on a different computer and it went right through...course it may have been "comp fart" day but who knows. I totally agree tho Celestian about the support, good luck to ya.

    Also for your pleasure check out Gamespot.  They have a BOATload of exclusive info on CoV.

    There is also a Video where Zeb Cook confirms that release is Oct 31! image

    invites from CoH into CoV??

    when i pre-order do i get the auth-key by mail or do it come whit the Game??

    yea the CoH gets an Mail whit an Invite

    but if you preorder like me you gotta wait for the CoH players to get in. and thats cool :)

    but i wonder if i get the key by mail when i preorder, and if i do where do i download the game so i can enter the beta??.

    Still no word on high end, I can wait MANY months to know about it, I wont buy a raiding game from a big company like NCSOFT, they can do better then a raiding game.

    They will probably send informtion regarding what to do to install the CoV beta when you get your preorder package. For those of us who got invites from CoH the email explained all the information. If you get it and it doesn't contain everything you need to get in, just hit me up here and I can walk you through it ::::28::
