Went though the tedious process of entering the cd key twice (why not just a single field so you can copy and paste instead of having 7 fields?) and after a long wait ended up with "page not found" error.

If this is a sample of how tedious and disfunctional the game is, forget it.

No, this is Eve's loss, because I'm sure I'm not the only one.

This is a prime example of how something small, but poorly thought out, such as making the cd key entry an unnecessary hassle, can spoil a lot of hard work and reduce sales.

In my case, I tried again a few hours later, and again went through the tedious cd key entry, and the registration server was back up and it worked.

It is an incredible world they've created.

To put it bluntly: Your experience was a-typical. I had no problem at all entering my CD Key.

No, just alot of people trying to get the key, thats all. And no game is perfect either.

Why make it a hassle to enter the cd-key? I don't see the point.

Just make it a simple copy and paste.

I never had a problem entering the CDKey, and the other 13 people we got into EVE never had a problem signing up and getting the game running either. So might have just been a one off thing, with any luck anyway

Anyway, good work on getting the link up guys for the keys, my emails were looking mighty huge from all the keys I have sent myself

Expatriate, OMG!! Have a heart attack! You just want something to complain about! It's a FREE TRIAL! Be thankful they even think about doing that as most games do not even offer this. If you PAID for the game and could not get it to work I could see your gripe, but come on, give it a rest! EVE is definately worth the effort anyways.

Stop complaining, i had no problems creating an account, its a one-off thing your experiancing - that or your missing a plug-in or something's wrong at your end. Just be happy its free!

I'm affraid its true, give it a month or more, and you'll be hard stretched to notice the difference between EVE and reality.

Dont forget to tune in to www.eve-radio.com, one of many player oriented aspects in the world of EVE.

I just with I could play... I downloaded the free trial last night, got tired and went to bed. Now tonight I cant get into the game. Gets hung up trying to load the world or something.... Nice patch ::::07::

Oddly enough when I first looked for a free trial to EVE I ended up in that other 7-day trial thread....asking for key to be sent to me (which it wasn't) there are 162 pages of people asking for CD keys there but all they need to do is come here...odd.

I think it's something to do with the MMORPG search engine....maybe you should edit the first post in this thread to contain "key" words like "eve-online"....that's probably why this thread is getting overlooked by people doing a search for "eve online free trial". And a MOD should delete that other thread since it directs away from this one.....and all those people begging for keys aren't being answered. (Can't blame the guy who started the thread for not answering....that's a butt load of keys for him to have to track down).

took me 10 minutes to make a 14 days acount and download 30% of the client ...

... almost inside .. cant w8 for that rush of entering a new game

Got that key today and already created EVE account - nice to have so much free time at my work

Been playing for 16 days now, yes I've signed up.

The key from here still works, and the download wasn't too bad as far as big downloads go.

One thing I'd recommend is reading the player guides on EVE's site they do actually help, the one on skills wouldv'e have saved me some time if I'd read it before trying to learn Frigates 4.

Definitly insure your ship especially any one that will be used in combat, lost 1 with out insurance and it hurt.

If you get Cdkey from the body program you normaly get then ingame name og the one that sended you the key.

One time i game one from this board a key and he pmed me ingame and asked for help that i gave him and som isk(gamemoney) to start with and he stills play the game so i can only say the ons that uses the other tread is better of in eve.
