Who we are

Blood of the dragon is a small, Mature (21+), RPG friendly, PVE-leaning,  guild built from the ground up for Guild Wars 2.  We are not a guild that transferred from another game, nor do we plan to guild hop to the next “hotness” game. We've never existed in any other game, so there's no feeling like you're walking into someone's inside joke. We are firmly planted in Guild Wars 2. We have been stalking the game for 5 years, and now its time to play it.  We are a forever guild, and we don't plan on leaving for the next game. I guarantee you can't say that for 75% of guilds that are established so far. The guild captain and his blood knights have years of experience leading guilds and, being in our mid-30s, understand how to balance responsibilities around our real lives.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for mature players, over the age of 21 but with the maturity if someone who has responsibilities. Moreso, we want  folk looking to define what the next generation of a guild is.  We aren’t going to be setting up mandatory raiding schedules and silly old generation MMO guild crap.  So we want players who are innovative, friendly and willing to step outside the slave pits of the WOW mentality and work for a strong community. If you feel that you’re going to jump to WOW(Lovecraft version)- Secret World, we are not looking for you. If you think WOW(crosshair version)-Tera is the next game you want to try, keep on moving.

What is RPG-friendly

We don’t like labels. Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG. Our guild, just like the game, has a backstory and lore. All players must have  a suitable character name  and be knowledgeable of the guild’s backstory. Players may (optionally) have a backstory.  Player backstories do not have to be elaborate, a simple sentence or two describing why your character would join the guild and who you are.  Our guild objectives and events are centered around our backstory. We have two professional writers and veteran guild leaders running the guild, so after each event, the guild lore will be updated Players are free to role-play or not. We also play on an RPG leaning server, so you will encounter other players who enjoy RPing. You don't have to do it, you simply have to respect it.

What we do for you

Our RPG element does not interfere with the guild’s “real world” mission. To help players, provide a friendly means of support, build a strong community and uphold a good reputation on our server.  Our Guild’s focus leans towards PVE, which means we will 2:1 of our official events are PVE focused, the other WvW focused. We also have alliances with several full time WvW guilds to further build on our community aspect.  We will have 1 guild event a week that will vary in activity.  Players receive awards, titles and bonuses for posting screenshots of them partied with other guild members.

So what are you waiting for

Our open recruitment will last until we reach 40 dedicated players (currently at 22) or until the game’s launch day, whichever happens first. We are keeping it small because our guild is already tight knit family. Large zerg fest guilds are the way of the old MMO. Come with us into the future.  Follow the instructions below and we hope to see u in the field.

Well, players doesn't need to elaborate a story for the gw2 character, there is a personal story :) perfect!

in which server are you guys?

The official RPG server is Tarnished Coast.  It's becoming fairly organized, which I love.  There is a TArnished Coast war council that a few of us RPG guilds are already members of.

As for story, you can write you a brief background, but it presumed that you know the guild's background, the quest for the blood.
