Im sick and TSW is my cure

ZylaxxZylaxx Member Posts: 2,574

Ok I think its safe to assume from my post history and my sigs that I am a HUGE GW2 fanboi  (unabashedly so too).  But my problem is that I can not get the sense of awe and potential that TSW has given me, its gotten to the point where I dont even actually care to follow any further information about GW2.  Since I am gameless™ at the moment all I have to look forward to is news and information orI do alot of browsing certain MMO forums but after last weekend all I want to watch and all I think about is TSW.  At this point I could care less about when GW2 comes out.  I know thats a shock but its true, I mean I know GW2 will be awesome and I am defenitly still hyped about it but ONE little beta weekend has me thinking of no other game on the market except TSW.  Like I said Im sick lol.

Yeah I preordered yesterday. See you this weekend?

I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all possible means - except by getting off his back.

You are aloud to like more than one game, for me personally nothing has been better than GW2.

Welcome to the asylum! Yeah I find myself just walking around reading signs on shops and stuff then looking them up... A game made by gamers here.

Yeah I spent most of my saturday looking up addresses in the phone book and admiring some of the graffiti at the skate park. Then I went out into the woods and trained zombies around rocks and trees lol

lol nope. I wasnt the only one, either. Some guy was defending a porch from the zombie respawns yelling, "you shall not pass!". And I saw two people dancing by the teeter totter singing the freddie song. This game brings out the roleplayer in people like I havent seen in a while.

These pills could work, my only question is, how long will they be effective?

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

All I need is a healthy RP server and I could stay indefinitely.

Just wanted to say this game has huge potential and is something the mmo market needed very badly. I'm also pre-ordered last week and had to borrow money from my G/F lol. I'm also in GW2 beta but can't wait for friday!!!!!!

You wait 9 years for a decent themepark mmo that isn't a reskinned wow with a twist. Then two come along at once.

    I'm with you.

I haven't been able to really get into diablo 3 because I keep finding myself preoccupied with daydreaming about TSW. image

    There's something about this game....

    X2

After playing closed beta non-stop for almost 2 weeks I preordered last night as well.

This game has it for me, and I am SUPER picky when it comes to these new mmos being release.. :D

Works out perfect, gives us 2-3 months of something solid to play until GW2 comes out. :D

I'm also a GW2 fan and I also intend to stick around these parts for a while, especially given no release date for GW2; so it could indeed be some time.

I'm not sure I am *more* interested in TSW than GW2 at the moment, but they seem to scratch entirely different itches and are not in direct competition with each other for my affections. I give TSW the nod in immersion, cutscenes, story, skill diversity, and level-gating, though.

I know how you feel, OP! I've shed all other games from my gaming horizon now that I've seen the greatness of The Secret World. I can see myself playing this game for years and years. The best part is that by it's very nature you are going to have a more intelligent community. If you are shallow or dumb as a doorknob, TSW is not for you. I've been waiting for something like this for over a decade.
