What class did you choose for your first playtrough ?

So, while the whiners whine and haters hate.

Lets we that actually play the game, talk gameplay ?

 

I am wondering what class did you choose for your first playtrough ?

 

I originally started with Barbarian.

But started to warm up to Demon Hunter , because i love its fast gameplay and his personal story angle.

How about you ?

    Monk all the way. He is a beast. 

     

    His only real weakness is that he has no ranged capability. Which can really suck on harder difficulties with certain mobs. 

     

    I started out playing him on normal speccing for the fastest abilities and looking for the fastest weapons, going as dps as possible. 

     

    At some point in Act 3 I died for the first time and then died a second time on the same pack. Pissed me off so I started speccing defensively. I went with a shield for a while, and it was amazing for the last two acts of normal.  In nightmare though, that shield was holding me back. I still specced defensively, but threw on the fastest two weapons I could find and added a bit of AoE back into my build.  Working really well on nightmare now. 

     

    The monk though is amazing. It's so much fun that I'm having trouble getting into the other classes. I haven't tried barb though so I think I'll probably like that. Melee is just so damn satisfying in this game.

    Yea... I started Witch Doctor... love the pets!

    The class is super diverse... Pets for tanking, AoE for big packs, strong single target damage for bosses, rares, and champions

    One thing I learned that I never knew is that Witch Doctors and Sorc spells and attacks all scale off weapon damage... so everyone who plays one... be sure to grabbing the highest dps weapons that you can equip!

    Started with Witch Doctor, then quickly put that aside as my "multiplayer character", and now I'm going solo with my Monk, while playing the Witch Doctor exclusively with friends. 

    In the Witch Doctor multiplayer sessions there's admittedly a lot of laughing involved because of the mess I make of the game-screen: All those spiders, dogs and stuff - uber creepy-crawley for sure, and even annoys me sometimes. :)

    The Monk, I just love the class; the speed and flair of it all is just exhilarating. Also, I really enjoy the male Monk's lines and voice acting. (on Witch Hunter, female one takes the cake, in my opinion)

    Heh, the thing that makes me laugh about Witch Doctor is the ability where he pukes out firebats all over the place. That crap is hillarious.
