[Guessing] Next Beta Weekend: May 25th -May 27th

This is not just a guess, which it is, but an educated one at that. Being that today is Thursday and we've had no announcement for this Weekend, it's only a given that we're not going to have a test here.
Next weekend is the last one of the month of May. Arena.net has said that they try to aim for at least 1 Beta Weekend a month, but there as not been one for the month of May yet.
I also know that they did say that it's their "aim" for one a month and that it might not be possible for them to meet that goal. And with this past Monday's Stress Test, they can claim that as being May's test timeframe and they've met this month's expected testing quota.
Bonus Topic:
With an expectation of them to release the game some time next month (June) or the following (July), how many more Beta Weekends will they have? I'm really hoping that the assumed (possibly leaked) date of June 28th is real, that way the need for Beta weekends is few to where the game's full 20/6 (compensated time for patches and down time) access is live.

Teasing is not nice.
Last BWE was on April 27-29 (last weekend of the month), announcement was on april 19th (thursday of the previous week), so if there is indeed a BWE on the May 25-27 weekend, they will probably announce it today or tomorrow. Of course, I might be wrong and they might feel they don't need to give such an early warning this time since most people have already downloaded the client, and if they don't say anything this week, I'll keep that in mind so that I can still hope to play GW2 next weekend..
What can men do against such reckless hate?
The won't claim that they already had a BWE this month because of the stress test.
I also wouldn't expect major down time after release. It works similar to Guild Wars. Patches get pushed onto the server while you play, you get a message "new build available, please restart", you do so once you're done with you did (like, clearing a dungeon, crafting some stuff etc.), done. There is also no regular maintenance down time in Guild Wars. We will see if there is with Guild Wars 2, but i don't think so.
Still, with a huge launch, there might be some problems at start, but most can be fixed without the servers being taken offline.

They had a stress test before the BWE in April so I expect them to have another BWE soon. Obviously it's not going to be this weekend since there hasn't been an annoucement but I can bet it will be next weekend.

looks like it will not be this weekend so i say june 1-3 as the weekend of may 25-27 is a US holiday and most ppl where i live go to the ocean for the weekend. also i think the staff at ANet whould like to spend the holiday with there family and not in the office all weekend to fix any thing that goes wrong with the servers.

I don't know. I don't see them having a BWE over Memorial weekend. I'm pretty sure the staff would prefer to have the weekend off. I can see the weekend after memorial weekend, though.

There's no way Memorial Day, which falls on a monday anyway, would have any bearing on whether or not they decide to host a BWE that weekend, especially not just because you have subjectively determined that "most people where you live" spend the weekend at the beach. This game is released for the whole world, not just the US.
The next BWE will be June 1-3.
Unless they wanted to go have some fun at the beach themselves. Or a barbeque with their families.

I'm starting to worry that this is the case, as they keep stressing via twitter "roughly on event per month and subject to change".

Can pretty much bank on it. I really doubt they're going to have their folks working over and through Memorial Day weekend. Not gonna happen.
Besides, contrary to what some think it would not even be the greatest from a player testing standpoint. There are quite a few going to be busy outside or even out of town for the holiday weekend.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

You don't really "go have fun at the beach" in Washington. Most beaches are made up of largish rocks, unless you get out on the penninsula or down near Oregon. Anet will probably already be in crunch time mode getting ready for release since I expect it to be fairly soon. But who knows.

Except that ArenaNet is a US based company, and therefore would follow US customs. In general, outside of entry-level work or those in charge of essential services people take the weekend off. I don't know if you're from the US or not, but I would be pissed if I was forced to work memorial weekend.
Just because you may not want to spend the weekend with your family, doesn't mean Anet employees will want to vacation with their families. Memorial weekend is a major travel weekend for the US. So it's not just "most people where he lives".
I wish they'd have it for Memorial Day Weekend, since I have the day off, but I'm sure they don't love me that much. :P
There was a Huge thread on the BWE forums requesting Anet to NOT hold a event on Memorial weekend as it would cause to much temptation to avoid family and play the game. It was a serious thread .... long , and comical.

I wouldn't be surprised. BioWare ran a beta for SW:TOR during Thanksgiving.
I won't be around though. Going on vacation with the family.
Depends on the company. I work on a software development team and we still get 4th of July or Memorial day off even when we have a July release date. Although we have to come in on a saturday occasionally, or I'll have to stay here until near midnight to ensure everything is clear before we go gold.
no i think the game is done for the most part i think most of the game stoping bugs where fixed before the first BEW and now they are just working on small bugs and tweeks to make the game run better. also i think closed beta test are still going on. ANet posted that the BEW had no NDA but the closed beta tester where still under an NDA witch tells me the closed beta testers have seen stuff that was not in the BEW and they can not tlk abut that stuff.
