SWTOR/EA/Bioware needs to be dealt with the way EVE players deal w/ CCP

UnleadedRevUnleadedRev Member UncommonPosts: 568

I truly suggest that ALL SWTOR players past and present who are upset with the state of SWTOR organize and do what the EVE players did:

1) Mass cancel of subscriptons

2) Disruption of Fleets and Zones (not sure if this can be done).

3) Spamming of re-posted threads that are good and which the Mods deleted.

4) Mass forum banning...they cannot ban everyone, but if enough people re-post the important threads and get banned; the forums will be a lonely dead place and the damage from accusations of Dead Forum = Dead Game will force EA/Bioware to halt their heavy handed moderators.

Anything else?

I truly believe that many people are so fed up with EA that even when they release good games people may not buy them.

+1 from me but I bet most here are already out of the game.

I keep saying EA needs a loud public call for a boycott of all things EA.

They have enough bad press as is, the remaining shareholders might not stay remaining if there's enough noise what actually goes on in that company.

That could force a change in management. It's been done before and it will be nice to see it done to gaming.

We might start seeing the customers treated witth some respect.

Or you can just be a mature adult and choose to spend your money on another game instead of ruining it for the handful of people that still enjoy SWTOR.

Honestly, I'd be thrilled to see someone like Anonymous hit EA the same way they hit SONY/SOE. Only continuously, for about 4-6 months solid of all EA servers for all games disabled.

    EA would be gone.

Ah, to dream a little dream.

I don't think that SWTOR has enough unhappy rabid fans like EVE.  A lot of the people that are still playing seem to enjoy the game as it is, the numbers are just skewed high because of 6 month subs and the free month given away to active subscribers.

I quit in January and really don't care what they do with the game.  It's really not "my" Star Wars anyway as it's way before the films.

Wait, did EA hack into your bank account and steal from you? Have they ruined the economy of the area you live in, forcing you into a life of crime? No? I'm not sure how selling a $60 game that you don't like justifies taking thousands of people's login information and spreading it around the internet. How does it justify ruining the game experience for a million or more people who are currently playing SWToR?

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

i doubt this game has the amount of subs they claim

anyone who has a IQ over 5 could see what there doing.free weekends every weekend, there just fluffing up there numbers so it looks better then it actually is

oh and not to mention,6 month subs.and subs that arent how you usually see mmos do it.like 2 month timecards,i bet alot of those people who bought 6 month subs probably left before the sub was up,but still got counted in the list of subscribers

not that ive ever cared how many subs this game has anyway.you can pretty much play it like a single player game from 1-50

How does anything EA has done justify ruining the game experience of 400,000 people?

Please refrain from referencing other peoples apparent low IQ when brutalizing the English language in such an adept manner.

I don't believe they're padding numbers. As far as I know, they can only include current paying subscriptions in their reports.

First off, Anonymous couldn't have done all that if SOE wasn't using security that would have been laughable in 1998.

Secondly, i just said take all the servers offline. Never said anything about doing the rest.

They include people with pre-paid account time ( even if those people cancelled and left long ago the time still remains so the account is counted as "currently active" ) and trial accounts ( i.e. all the people they keep throwing the free time to ). They say so right in their investor report. That is how EA determines an "active subscriber". Spin, spin, spin, baby.

Whiners killed/are killing EVE, why should SWTOR follow the same path?

  • taoofjestertaoofjester Member Posts: 19

I am kinda thinking some people need to get outside more often and stop taking gaming so seriously.

I played the game. I enjoyed it. When I was done enjoying it, I moved on. If those of you that hate this game so passionately did the same, you may find your lives infinitely better. Allowing the game to exist as it does for people that enjoy the game as it is hurts no one.

I like red wine. Does this mean I should break all bottles of wine white I find in the world because I think they are terrible? Someone of you remind me of the Nazis when they burned books they did not agree with. It is getting a bit tiresome for those of us that have matured beyond such silly displays of hurt and anger. Please, grow up now.

Sorry you lost me at Anonymous.  That group is nothing but E terrorist and bullies.  They dont' give a crap about anyone elses stuff and only seem to care about their own agenda.  Black hat hackers can all rot.  The fact they think they have the right to financially mess with companies shows me just how self centered and stupid they are.  Don't like a product? don't buy it..  Bought it and don't like it dont' sub, its that simple.  You have zero right to mess with other peoples stuff and I hope every last member of anonymous ends up in prison because thats what they are criminals.

I agree I'm tired of reading all these cry babies post about how bad a game is. If you don’t like it leave. You will never be happy anyways. I do have to say that BW shouldn’t take down posts that are aimed at giving constructive insight into how to change the game for the better. I do see why they did take it down though its because you little babies post crap like this after someone takes the time to respectfully explain how to make the game better.

Yeah, but it's a lot easier to organize a couple hundred thousand players than it is to organize a couple mi.............

    Oh wait!
    Nevermind, carry on.

ive looked at the suggestion box on the official forums

95 percent of the peoples ideas if i worked at bioware.id probably just throw in the garbage can because all it would do is make the game feel more like wow and end up with bored people leaving a boring mmo
