    Thanks for the video man. I missed the pts today due to work. Can't wait for 1.9. Trion surprised me with this one. I know it's early to talk about expansions but their expansion pack will probably blow other's away just knowing their work ethic.Hatts off to Trion

    No problem, and yes it's a shame it's only in a warfront based system that we see 3 faction PvP but it's still a nice addition.The new zones deffo got me excited!

    early?  The game is 15 months old.  Its long overdue for an expansion announcement.

    If I were to take a stab in the dark, I am betting Trion is waiting to see the impact of what 2012 brings. I'm sure they won't be investing much in cenematics for people to spacebar through but I am willing to bet they want to see what DE's bring.

     

    The one thing I want to see Trion do with the expansion is make Rift their own creation.

    1.9s biggest feature is a very obvious attempt to add one of GW2's draws, and now they have the pokemon critter trapping being added too, which is obviously inspired by Mists of Pandaria.

    Actually that so called trapping is part of a world event...so read up before splurting out false info.

    I'm a bit confused and curious.

    Do you choose who you are fighting with ONCE? Does the Conquest map END or is it persistent? Or is it essentially a glorified giant instance like GW2's? I'm kinda hoping it's like DAoC where it's never ending.

    You choose who you fight with. And I say its a mix of instance and persistent so far in the beta for it. What I mean by this is that, in the beta the zone was closed off from the rest of the world like a warfront, but it persist throughout the time. So game can end and you can stay in the zone killing things just like zone invasions can end but you can still kill invaders afterward . Same concept. Just think of it as a zone that you have to load into we're you are flagged all the time.

    Another words it is world instance:-) Something like TB in WoW, just different rules (no timers, more objectives, 3 sides of conflict).
