What I love most with CO is having no servers to select ... all looks like single server but with many instances. This solves all problems at once. And there is no problem to change instance if grouping requires this. Guess still there should be 3 servers, for RP, PVE and PVP.

For the rest all the best. Best game ever for me. Enjoying every single day since release like being first. But as some noted main problem is pvp and end game. For pvp i do not care, for end game I'm still not there until im done leveling all my alts.

Well, If this guy is reason for warhammer failure (since day 1) and by any chance have any influence on swtor development, this could not be good. Should be banished permanently from gaming industry.

And if you are bothered so much maybe you could care to specifiy exactly what is problem? Maybe that is bugless? Maybe bothered by great sw look and feel? Maybe do not like realistic movement of avatars? Maybe you are bothered by total absence of lag (even when under heavy load on start)? Etc. etc. All I read in forums is pure sith style heathred toward game without single argument.

Ok, I understand that pvp sucks and so end game, where I'm not at home. But for rest not sure if reason for heathred.

If do not like game not sure why so many bother basing it and hating for sake of hating. Games I did not like or have stopped to play by any reason i do not bother at all to comment or follow forums or bother to respond to any.

These guys are fixing one problem at a time, it is a slow process but if you remember, WOW took similiar steps when it started, (except the population issues) there was not enough pvp so they made battlegrounds, they didnt raids so they got AQ and such... I think people just leveled to fast for Bioware,  Next patch will probs be alot of end game content, and if everything goes well, two of the major problems with SWTOR will be fixed

They are losing a lot of players because of this. The reason I am planing on quiting is because of open world unbalance. I play republic and its 3-4 empire players to 1 republic. How would this work for mega servers? I get a shard of a planet being full and making a new shard for over flow and having 3-4 spin offs of  the same planet. How would this work for Illum?

Just get server transfers added and then get people off the dead ones then close them, simple. mega servsrs are band aid fix that will cause more harm then good down the road.

Many people are really pissed about loosing all the good names they had reserved pre-launch. so darth bob is gonna be pissed no matter what when all versions of bob are taken. darth bob could careless about mega servers but wants xserver so he can still keep his tier 1 names he grabbed.

As many are saying the game is super instanced. don't get me wrong still playing still enjoying it. but holy god so many loading screens.

I have chosen to stcick it out and keep paying. I use the boring times to try to help give postive feedback/suggestions on the main forums. unlike SWG were we all had a melt down and left for Wow...i'm sticking around trying to encourage posters to create informative less negative post that help BW make a better game for all.

What BioWare needs to do is remove the subscription fee and make this a "buy to play" title. This not MMORPG nor does it warrant any aditional costs.

Jedi convenant was my pre-laucnh server I got lucky it always been super busy, and sometimes full.

This is starting to remind me of the slow fall to death Warhammer had.

I got BoiWare's pathetic, sniveling, "come back and play 1 month free" e-mail and just laughed. Even for free, I would not play this mess.

A mega server is a good idea then all 500 people still playing the game can all be together

/agree with above comments that mega-servers won't change the basic dynamics of the game. The problem with SWTOR is that it is a very linear, heavily-instanced, single-player focused themepark.  Having 100,000 people on a server means nothing when basically no one has any incentive to form a community.  Everything in the game, from the "trade" system to questing, works against group and social activities.  The world itself is not very interactive, being full of casinos without games, chairs you can't sit on (and no, the emote sit doesn't work - it just looks funny) - there are whole vast dead expanses of the game world where there are no real people, just NPC.

The few things you must do in a group, e.g.  heroic fours, flashpoints and ops, are a chore to set up due to the poor group finder mechanics.  And even if those get solved, the activities themselves aren't very meaningful - you get to run instances for drops/items you can't use so you can scrap/sell them.

They also cut down on group and social dynamics by funneling the PVP into instanced warzones with a heavy e-sport flavor.  Many people want more "sandbox" style PVP where you can take and hold objectives in a open zone.  Maybe the Illum rework will add this, who knows.

But the point is that mega-servers do not address the host of core design decisions by Bioware that mitigate against social and group interactions.

They'll be a band-aid, that's all i can see them accomplishing. The first thing i can see as making a major difference will be the first proper expansion and even then i'm not sure there will be enough people interested in space content. More will need to happen before or at the same time, not the least of which is actually doing something with the world pvp. This particular Stars has no war.

Yes, i've became embittered but i don't think i can really be blamed for that.
