I too tried it long ago when it was new. And Im gonna assume that html in your sig is from the neopets site. We use BBCode here which is kinda like html but diffrent syntax (keywords).
I hated neopets.. bugs and hackers galore.. I made three accounts, one was bugged so I can't even log on (been trying to contact technical support ever since and absolutely NO replies) and two was hacked even with a difficult password.. I've since given up.. it's such a crappy waste of time.

Pet battling in neopets is terrible. I think that it's all radom on hits who. either that or its like fire, water and earth:
water > Fire
Earth > Water
etc...
I did learn somthing about stockmarketing. I still got my neopets account.

Some of the games are fun to waste time on, but like Rikimaru said, the battling was awful, and so was trying to train them.
