Well i am sick of that. There is not one single game (excpt Eve) with even a little piece of quality from wow. It was more like raping my self by trying to play this games. I tried AOC -awesome game on begining but after some time you get bored with that crappy combat and not well made lands. EQ and EQ2-Fast paced chicken running mmo. GW-Horror of all horrors and worst mmo i tried, from start of making characters you get ill from that feminine look of males. LOTRO-pure pve game not so bad but without pvp, boooriing(forget that crappy monster play). Warhammer--Good at start but later you got served one of the worst combat in mmo, same useless crap like in gw2. RIFT- good start, crappy stupid super boring quests, few lands and not much to explore, same EQ chicken running fast paced pvp.SWTOR was my hope and it started very good with maybe best character stories of all time, but plufff after 2-3 weeks at lev 50 you have nothing really to do. And rest of games are even worst. I asked many of players do they have same feelings when they try to play anything else beside wow and i got the same answer-YES the rest of the games are so poor and so cheap made if you compare them with wow and that is the reason why wow have 10-12 mil subscribers. I know, i know that some of you think that you are very special kind of players because you play some very strange games like Aion, GW, EQ but hey! numbers are what counts and we have best fun in world of mmo's. You know that most of MMO'S earn in their life time not a little part of that what Blizzard earn from one month wow subscription fee. This is the reason why is so much hate Wheen your little game will be able to offer so big tournaments with so much money to win you could say- Yes i am proud to be a member of that gaming comunity! But untill then just keep quiet and be friendly with everyone in your gaming comunity so you can keep it a live. Sorry for my bad English . Enjoy playing what ever you play--But do not forget who is the king

Don't play MMO then.
There are quite a few MP action RPG that have the WOW small group adventure feel anyway.
Holy wall of text batman! How about putting some paragraphs in there to make it readable.
After years of playing all other MMO's, WoW just sucks...
dont worry, most of us wish wow players would just stay in wow.
So you came on here to ramble about how crappy every other mmo is compared to WoW? I applaud you, constructive and original at the same time.
People like you are the reason most of us left WoW a few years back, rabid fanboys...
i played wow for 7 years, but when blizz chose to go for Asian Market with MOP i just can't stand it anymore and i don't think i'll ever play it again.
this not the wow i loved anymore.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
Numbers are what count to the companies. You said it yourself. Play what you enjoy. Which makes your comment about numbers being all that matters invalid to us on these forums. WoW was fun for a time. I'm not going to lie and say it wasnt. But it has its own flaws. Besides, nothing will ever compare to your first.
Ah yes numbers are what counts... not spending time on that topic here...even though it is so tempting...
At least you already included an apology for your English anyways.
I agree thats what it/he/she is saying but there is a flaw with that line of thinking. You arent actually playing with millions of people. There is a good chance you are only playing with a couple hundred tops and you may only interact with 50 in a given gaming session and thats if you are raiding. The "hey looky at the numbers" thing is a joke. The only people numbers actually matter to are the suits. As players all we want/need is a well populated server and possibly a good guild as far as numbers go. If you are a solo player who gives a shit how many people are playing so long as the game is good.
i challange anyone who hasnt played wow since burning crusade to go and try it again
you will see how bad wow acctualy is
i did and i almost made it to lvl 15 before i uninstalled it
OP, go play Diablo 3, its probably the right game for you...

Last weekend I made a new character in cataclysm to see how fast I could level it if I started at 6am. I made 60 in 14 hours played. LOL. However I didn't make 80 until the following night.

The OP is kinda right, after years of WoW all other mmorpgs suck because they are so similar to WoW and you're bored as hell with WoW. You pick up a new game trying to find something fresh but no, you get a game that is very close to WoW in every game mechanics but with a new skin, so it keeps you entertained for a few weeks max untill you get tired of the same game and mechanics you grew bored eventually in WoW. Even Blizzard recycles their own content so badly that WoW's expansions are not a solution either. /multisigh
Which is why games like SMITE, GW2 & LoL are becoming so popular.
Particularly because kids and college students these days are poor as hell (glad I got 6 figures in the bank ) and don't want a monthly sub, other part, the part about end game doesn't really exist in a game like GW2 or LoL for different reasons. GW2 you are masses of people going against masses of people and LoL each game you start at level 1.

Funny thing is that WoW is the least enjoyable MMO I have ever played. I guess maybe its all a matter of opinion. I am glad that I dont share the OP's though, because then I would have only one option for an enjoyable experience rather than many.
When all has been said and done, more will have been said than done.
I personally had a lot more fun on EQ2 then WoW but EQ2 had literally no PVP even on a PVP server so that's why I quit it after 6 months.

As far as I know there's no open world multiplayer content in WoW anymore, this game really could be just a lobby game. You solo to max level and then sit in dungeon and pvp finders or preferrably run stuff with your guild. The open world conten, which is the core of mmorpgs, is entirely for solo leveling.
When WoW launched back in the day you had world bosses and ran into enemy dungeon groups and whatnot, at least you had to travel through open world to get to instances, you wont see any of that anymore, there's only the solo leveler in open world.
WoW might still be a giant when it comes to games and population, but it cant be a king of mmorpgs like the OP says since it's not a mmorpg anymore, it's just a multiplayer game
I almost forgot to comment on the numbers aspect of the OP.
Justin Bieber, NSync, Brittney Spears, and so on are some of the top selling acts ever. That makes their music the best ? Yeah, I'll take Sevie Ray Vaughan over the Backstreet boys even if they did sell more albums.
When all has been said and done, more will have been said than done.
I know I should not buy these games. But mmorpgs are the only "genre" that I really like and there's not much to play for me outside mmorpgs, I'm not interested in singleplayer games generally or some basic multiplayer games. I often decide that I'm not going to buy an upcoming mmorpg, like TSW this time, but I popably end up buying it since there's nothing else to play. I would stop doing this if someone would release one game that kept me occupied during these other mmorpg launches.
I bought TOR, even said it was a good game. It was a good game imo, I liked the stories, Star Wars/Sci-fi feel to it, and it worked, the problem just is it isnt a good mmorpg. Was tons of fun to play with friends untill you hit max level or get tired of being handheld 100% of the time. If it would have been another standard fantasy game (like RIFT) the story would have been propably exactly the same as with every other WoW clone for me, playtime from 2 days to 2 weeks max until shelving...
Edit: Dont you think that the fact people leave these new games during the free month is no indication at all to the devs and other companiens that they are doing it wrong, even if I buy the game? Not buying at all might signal that I'm not interested in mmorpgs at all and am done with them. Buying but quickly leaving should singnal that I'm interested in the "genre" but the game is crap.
whats really interesting in such threads: the thread-starter never come back to take their beating. I mean, he sits there with his brand new dictionary and puts so much work into the text. he thinks he got a point. hundreds of people join in and tell him he is wrong/dumb/whatever. but the thread-starters never come back! wheres the fun in it?
Friends of mine that played WoW couldn't stand it because there were so many mentally and emotionally disturbed people who like to do nothing more then stand around naked talking dirty to each other. I guess $15 a month is a pretty cheap way to pretend you have friends or virtual intimate relations. Pretty soon they'll be able to run around in naked panda toons doing hula dances. I'm just glad they've found a place to congregate, and hopefully they will stay away from games I like to play.
Congrats OP on finding "your game" I'm sure that WoW is a game that really suits you. You should probably keep playing it forever.

including WoW.
Exactly, most newer mmos are linear as hell and doesnt offer any exploration at all,In darn wow was cool to go arround for sake and explore but all new mmos are just aion wich was good but 1 path exploration and small cities as fuck.
