guys....instead of taking 1 star at a time from me, why not just take them all, so people can know i'm an absolute talking monkey who throws shit at people.... this is the only forum i like and can be candid, most of the time i have to work with the retarded testers and just ban them...
all i'm saying is, i dont need yur stars, but i dig this site....i even dig this site with yur shady sponsors^^ those poor kids in china, did you take their stars away too?

People actually care about those? Why? I mean honestly do they give any more meaning or relevance to a post? Or is an intelligent post still an intelligent post and a dumb one a dumb one?
I simply fail to see why people pay the slightest bit of heed to them, one of the forums I moderate on we have a post ranking system that people like to use ( see also: Abuse ) from time to time. I find it amusing because I have seen some of the most intelligent post's rated the poorest and the dumbest rated high. Most of us simple choose to ignore them, as honestly rank/rating/post count's are quite honestly the dumbest thing to ever grace a forum.

The starts dont count your posts but how often you login/visit the site. (If i remeber corectly).

Ranks are calculated every day at 2:00AM EST. They are only based on the last 30 days of data. We look at the following factors when determining your rank:
Dek and I throw our stars back and forth like ninja's all the time. It's fun.

Stars are given based on:
1) Number of posts per X time
2) Content of posts (one word posts WILL lower your star count)
3) How many times you get reported for abuse (Abuse reports will lower your star count).
Hope this helps. Go read the forum FAQ before accusing the mods of taking your stars away goof.

i was showing to people at work(firaxis) and they thot it was funny....then showed them the ige ad and they were like ew, but i tried to defend mmorpg.com, decent folks here and C.R.E.A.M.
Im not going to get into an IGE debate, but it's all about business.
It's one big circle and the stars on this site help promotion.
