old article, but fun to read

I just randomly stumbled upon this old article of a fired Blizzard employee spilling the beans about D3 last year

http://www.gogaminggiant.com/2011/04/14/rumor-fired-diablo-3-employee-reveals-all/

most of the things he says are quite true, which leads me to believe that his comment about Titan project must be true as well.

So it seems like Titan will be a Second life like Facebook intergrated MMO, whatever that means....

I review lots of indie games and MMORPGs

He was correct near the end about class balance when he says he tested the Demon Hunter and he says it was way more powerful then the other classes, which was true.

He states Azmodan was the Boss of Act 3 (which he calls one of the worst acts). This was true and unknown at the time.

He says Act 4 is in hell and you Kill Tyrael which is obviously not correct, but maybe this was the original ending, you descended into hell (from act 3) and kept going down deeper. Maybe they changed it or scrapped the concept and went with what we have now and Diablo you fight in the heavens after what happens (won't spoil, but most people know).

The stuff he claims about Titan is interesting, but for all we know it could be flat out lies, or it may hold some value.

Read this before and read it again after D3 fiasco... And now we know he is telling the truth and Blizzard do not like it but failed to shut him up. (for telling the truth)

I can see die hard Blizzard fanbois in Blizzy forum that is really a Blizzard EMployee pretending to be a Blizzard fan.

    Futacow is one of them.

He was wrong about a lot actually.

I don't think so, unless you are talking about that patches Blizzard did after this articles.

    A clever ploy.

either way, if Titan ends up being a Second Life with Facebook, it'll break my heart.

As of now, it's the only mysterious hope for MMORPG genre, other than Dayz I guess, which isnt even an MMORPG (yet)

He might have been a furious closed beta tester, but it seems he was quite correct at that point in time.

They obviously changed the ending, since that was more than a year ago. In fact, the story makes sense ENTIRELY when you consider Tyrael being corrupted.

Women psychologists... diablo with breasts.. holy shit .. it all makes sense now. No wonder D3 is a piece of fuck; they had women psychologists determining the development direction.

his statement about "Titan integrated w facebook" could be anything

EQ2 is integrated w facebook but it just gives the functionality to post your character updates to facebook

(similar to EQ2players or WOW armory)

I wish they would have stuck with the story he mentioned instead of the one they used.  Tyreal turning evil sounds awesome.  Leah turning evil?  Not so much.  The whole last act of D3 was a weird and disjointed bunch of crap that made no sense.  I mean, it followed from one point to the next, but the actual part where the story should grip the audience was completely gone.
