Guild Wars Expantion ??

Iv heard people in GW talk about an expantion many times in the game! Arena Net (the people who made GW) bringing out an expantion for guild wars? does anyone know if this is true?

if you have reason to beleive that it is true please post with proof, thank you!

    Yeah, they'll be releasing an expansion soon called Sorrow Fornace. Completely free. Their plans is to release 1-2 expansions every year, and take a lesser price for them.

    I am waiting for them to add Spears as weapons in the game, since I find it funny that a Guard says

    "Nothing feels better than running a spear through the gut of a Charr."

    When there are no spears in the game. ::::37::

    lol well said mate, im a sword fan myself so i dont really care about spears, but i do think they should bring our more types of weapons :P

    How can you believe their word...? Guild Wars has planned on making expansions as their way of making money since development stages. That was what set them apart from other games, they wanted to make you buy new expansions all the time, and the other games want to charge you a monthly fee. No real difference, other than the fact that buying an expansion is just a pain ::::25::

    I have to admit the 'free as long as you want nothing new, ever' concept is nice... just well... new content is kind of a necessity, and Guild Wars has none comparatively (although they probably make the lack of content to make you want to buy the expansion)

    Its a good thing other games only charge a monthly fee. Its not like EQ2 or Star Wars or any number of other mmos want you to pay 15 a month and buy expansions.

    Do you think that after they come out with 2 or 3 expansions, they might consider (not wanting of course) putting a monthly on guild wars, although it is a rather short game who knows wut these expansions might do at this point of time

    when was guild wars fun?  there are plenty of other games out there to get excited about.  sorry but guild wars is off my list....i know all of you care what my list is too.  i rule all of you.  you all wish you were me.

    I dont mind paying for an expansion pack. love the game and everything about it, hope to see more.

    It will / should be the normal price for a game around £20 / $37. They have to afford the upkeep of the servers anyhows.
