Ive been playing WOW since US beta to launch, EU beta to launch, till now.

Thats the longest any game has ever held me. Still I havent felt the intensity that I felt in AO, Eve online or L2. Its more polished gameplay wise, it has given me a smooth ride. Has been good to see that MMO's can be alot more bugfree and playable than what we have seen released. Yet, I dont feel like logging in anymore, I have my shaman and a priest. I am thinking about starting a warrior, that could be fun. But its not that the options are not there, I just simply dont feel like walking around in Azeroth anymore. Hated the graphics at first, started to love it, now im starting to miss the L2 artwork.. Im actually thinking about joining L2 again, to get the sense of achievement back.. But then again it might again take over my life... Wow doesnt.. its alittle like Star Craft you can just jump in and have some fun.. But I need something..

Any advice? Id like to have more fun in Wow, I know that there is much more I havent seen, classes, some areas. The crispness of noobiness is gone for sure.. Thats always the best time of any game..

Went back to AO, Planetside and Eve Online, only to be bored again.

So what to do now ;) (pssst, go study)

Take a break from the game. A lot of people are bored of WoW, switch to another MMORPG, then realize they miss WoW and come back 1-3 weeks later.

    ___________ ___ __ _ _ _
    Stealth - Ambush - Hemorrhage - Sinister Strike x2 - Cold Blood - Eviscerate - Vanish - Preparation - Cold Blood - Ambush - ... you're dead! :P

thats exactly what i do. i will get bored of WoW, then switch to another MMORPG for a little, but stay subscribed to WoW. After I realize how much I miss WoW, i come running back.

one thing i do to decrease boredom is make new characters. if i ever truley get bored out of my mind, i will make something i never got to a high level. for instance, the other day i reached level 40 and got my mount. by the time i did, i was so sick of playing my hunter for such a long ass period of time, that i made an undead warlock. ill eventually get bored and go back to the hunter, but this method is tried and true.

Yeah, I'm pretty bored of WoW now as well.

I quit for 2 months after I got my Night Elf Hunter to level 60 after only 2 months. I came back and got a Troll Rogue up to level 60 and the game seemed new and different and exciting but I hit the same road block I did with my Hunter. Now I'm playing a Warrior to try and get that spark back but I'm doing the same things I've already done and even though I'm doing them differently this time they are not nearly as fun as when I did them before.

Playing different characters with different play styles(like going to a caster after playing a melee) and playing the other faction can spice up the game and make it fun again but it may not work time and time again.

Play the class you always wanted to play, NOT the class you feel is most in-demand or most powerful.

Play that class in "hardcore mode" meaning :

    1) Take up the appropriate tradeskills. Enchanting for caster. Blacksmithing for Warrior/Paladin. etc. Take them from early level, not when you're 40.
    2) Use weapons/talents/playstyle that others may consider "gimped." Try a protection spec warrior, or a Mage with no arcane, or a rogue that specializes in something other than DPS.
    3) Start and lead a RAID guild.
    4) Be a perfectionist. Perfect every part of your character and guild.

Plenty to do in the game that can take YEARS.

I played the game since the beginning and managed to make a 60 undead rogue as my main and 60 human mage, 60 NE druid, 60 NE warrior, and 60 gnome warlock as my alts.  There is nothing to do really after you reach 60 and get all your end game gear execept ranking up through battlegrounds or finding people to gank.  Not to mention it is not always easy to find people to gank after the introduction of battlegrounds and the battlegrounds itself has several flaws.  I think battlegrounds ruined the game.  They should have made battlegrounds a separate game.  There used to be several raids in cities like tarren mills or crossroads before battlegrounds.  Now the only place you see PVP really is battlegrounds.  Some unwanted PVP you'll find outside of dungeons like blackrock mountain or scarlet monastery and in neutral cities like in Tanaris (my favorite place to gank and annoy people as a rogue).  The game really lacks some real PVP if you think about it.  I am cancelling my account as well.

L2 has improved a lot since prelude/chronicle 1...the graphics are amazing...they have new dungeons called catacombs/necropolis and they have eased the grind considerably (30% party exp bonus)...also chronicle 4 is due to come out soon and that will add new lands as well as a hero tournament that will give the best player of each class special armor and weapons

if you are a member of an active guild...you will really enjoy the game...if you solo all the time...the long and difficult grind might prove to be too much for you...if you play legit (no botting or powerlevel) like i do it will take you well over a year to level cap...but as you said...you will feel a sense of achievement if you make it there

Dude i have been playing WoW since release. I am bored to insanity. I finally got a character to 60 and basically i exist on a mage alt to hang out with some friends and scream and curse till i die of exhausion.

On my 60 i either raid or pvp or go around fake robbing people on rp servers to see what they do. Yeah id like more to do but i also feel that i have done alot already. i havent been to every zone yet i dont think and i dont have an epic mount ( i dunno if i wanna do that i just dont got the money) i dont have one of those nifty names sets yet oh and the cards but thats all raid stuff anyway....

I made a warrior alt and had some good fun, then realized, I missed my shammy. Went back and had some good fun with him, also having alittle fun with my priest again, when in groups.

Im back in crafting with my main, which I always find great fun, sold the first Woolen bag on my server ;) At least I think I did..

But its like, people are playing to try and have fun. Do this and do that, and it wont be so boring.. Hey it should be a blast, we pay for it..

Im afraid to join a big guild and get sucked in.. but then again its where the content is I guess.. Right now ill just play alittle, getting some nice eq, work on my crafting business.

I tend to jump around. As soon as it gets stale I try something else. Do that and maybe when you try the game again it will be fresh?
