LF Fantasy MMORPG P2P or F2P

Hello everyone!

After waiting 10 years for Diablo, I'm really sad with the game, as I expected much more from it. Played since release date and I'm bored to death doing the same things over and over and not being able to explore new areas or group dungeons.

I played WoW for years and I can't stand to play it anymore as I'm bored with the same content and the failure that the Cataclysm expansion was. Although I like the dungeon system there (where you must have tanks, dpsers and healers to be able to face hard mobs and such)

Now I'm trying to find an MMO (either paid or free, I don't really care about that, as long as it's good) that has the following:

- Good Graphics, colors and details ( I played LOTRO and although I love the movie and the story, I just couldn't bear the dull looks of the gear as an ubber equipped player would look almost identical to a weak, new player). Also, the spells and skills were just not "breathtaking" when used. That took a lot of fun away imho.

- Preferably isometric view (although these are getting harder to find nowadays), but could be 3rd person view too.

- Target and use skills (instead of the new Tera style, where you just aim like an FPS, with a crosshair. I don't like that on an mmorpg)

- Variety of classes.

- Good PVE system. I don't really care about PVP.

- Fully in english (good translations)

I really loved Ragnarok for the playability, but couldn't stand the shitty graphics and looking the same as everyone else. I already played UO and loved the gameplay back in the day, but then again, the graphics turned me down.

So, what would you recommend?

Thank you very much for taking the time to help me in this hard quest!

I know this might seem like a trolling attempt, but it isn't. Really.

I really wanted to find a game that kinda plays like ragnarok (isometric, if possible) but with better graphics. I tried BoI, but it just wasn't what I really want.

Right now I'm downloading EQ2 to see how it feels (even though it's not isometric, it should be some fun, I expect).

Anyone with tips on that kind of game?

    Thank you very much

The only Isometric with good graphics i can think of right now is Wakfu

i am sure you heard of it, they have a couple of pretty cool feature such as

    - Eco System which animals/monster can actually extinct out of the game if you do not repopulate them

-Player can act as the Goverment of each Nation ( set taxes, assign guards etc )

    -graphics are nice for sure

downside of the game for me is that the battle is turn based ( like FF tactics, so i dont know if it will actually fit your category )

other isometric that i can think of is Path of Exile, although it's still not fully out yet, but you can join the beta right about now

    http://www.pathofexile.com/

these 2 are the only isometric mmo i can think of right now with a decent graphic

    So What Now?

Well, I haven't heard about Wakfu, but after seeing some videos of it on youtube, and reading some comments, I decided to try Dofus 2 (which is from the same company and it REALLY reminded me of Ragnarok).

I just hope it's not "dull" in the gear aspect, where if you have a super ultra mega weapon, you'd look nearly identical to someone who was carrying a wooden sword :(

I'm downloading it and we'll see how it's like. Unfortunatelly I'm on a slow 1Mb connection, so it might take some time.

But thank you very much for the idea! Also, if you guys think of anything else, please let me know! I'm open to new ideas :D

    Thanks!!!

From what I've read, Wafku is the continuation of Dofus, but 1000 years later... As I'm really not much into sci-fi or technological games, I decided to go for Dofus first. After playing a few minutes and read your comments, I decided to give Wakfu a try.

It's indeed a lot better, as I can run in widescreen format and the screen is not static as it is in Dofus. I'm kinda learning the game yet, but I'm really fond of that turn based combat and the graphics, as they remind me a lot of Ragnarok.

I'm gonna play a few hours and hope to not get bored with it!

But if you guys have any other tips, let me know! I'm open to new ideas :D

    Thanks!!

Not sure if you have checked it out but I've been playing Rift lately. Its pretty fun, nice graphics. Not isometric, its like wow. its p2p, similar game play to wow but it is pretty unique. Also the gear isn't the coolest looking but you can just use dyes and have your gear look like other gear, like a "fashion" type thing
