Haven't pre-ordered and haven't chosen a faction yet. First it was Templars but i just don't know now. Damm, i wish there was a modern day pirate faction.

I was really psyched about the illuminati but as I was running around their compound, I couldn't help but think of them as spoiled bratty trust fund babies. Plus they have Snooki. Also, NY was completely underwhelming.
Either Templars or Dragon. Templars have the benefit of having the most important capital city and the Dragon have the ninja feel to them.
They seem to be the most obscure (and inscrutable ?) of the lot.
Templars and Illuminati are passe, and besides, how "secret" are they if everyone knows about them ?
Never heard of the Dragon before...
The Dragon are basically the collection of theories about the Asian secret societies, that infiltrate parts of every Asian country and hold everything hostage in the world, without most people being the wiser. Yes, the theory goes that they do regularly capture and eliminate opposition, have outright armies in the waiting, and assassins up the wazoo.
(I plan on doing all three, at some point. Especially if they really do all have unique questlines that the open beta didn't enable yet)
When I did the personality test, I had two results.
If I answered on what my ambitions for the world are, and what I have in my personal feelings about people, I get Illuminati.
If I answered on what I feel about all of EXISTENCE, and what I IDEALLY want in people in general, I get Dragon.
I never really got Templar XD haha
So I think I'll do Illuminati at first, even though I agree with their critisisms. Part of it is that I have hopes that the 'middle-manager' Snookie we meet, is actually wayyy more to the bottom of the pyramid, and over time and questing, we get to meet those closer to the TRUE leadership of the Illuminati. TSW has already proven that their intro faction scenes are misleading to some degree (ie the 'massage' of the Dragon agent, is possibly actually given by a sex-demon :O).
But if this doesn't work out right, and the Illuminati just turn out to be snarky fratboys/sorority girls (ugh, what?), then I'll start my Dragon run and make that my main character.

The whole paranoia thing got med turned off illuminati. Templar were a bit meh with their attitude. I ended up with dragon and their cloak-and-dagger approach.
I do like how Funcom made the introduction to the factions quite unlikeable if you have chosen the wrong faction for you. It's a smart way to get an even division between the factions.

Templar will be an alt at best.
