If you pre-ordered or planning to, what level did you or are you going to get.  Standard, Standard+, or Grand Master?

I know I'm a sucker, so I got the Grand Master.  It is very expensive, but I'm in a position to take the risk.

I avoided that one, because I'm not into figurines and suck.  I mainly got it because of the lifetime subscription.  If the game pans out, it will have been worth it.  A definite risk, but this way I don't have to worry about recurring charges on my credit card.  Here is to crossing my fingers.

The cheapest one (Standard or Initiate Pack or whatever). I don't see anything useful in the more costly packages (like the starter area helpers i.e. pets, trinkets which you'll outgrow after 1-2 nights of playing if not sooner).

The only "extra" I've bought is LotRO lifetime membership which paid itself off a couple of times over through saved monthly fees when I was still playing the game.

I got the grandmaster pack since I don't want to think about a subscription. I want to play they game when I want to play it and not when I have subscribed or not. I really don't care about the stash that comes with the pack though. I played AoC for 18 months and what I have seen so far in TSW has been a lot better, so I don't see why I wouldn't be playing TSW for longer.

If I hadn't gone for the grandmaster pack, I would have just bought the plain game.

Anyone know how the pets work (wolf/cat/hound)?  I am thinking about preordering for the wolf, but you make it sound like a burden.  Does it take up a spot on the active skill bar or something?

The way I see it there are two pack worth getting.  The basic game or the grandmaster pack for the lifetime subscription.

Pet - waste of money and will probably be in the cash shop.

Clothing - nothing special here, get stuff from cash shop if you want.  I'll be using the item from in game.

Extra Character Slot - I only need 1 character in this game...

Extra Character Name Reservation - see above.

So as I'm not sure how long I will be playing it, I bought the basic game only.

I think that they are more like slight passive buffs.

I'm probably getting the Standard and might upgrade to a lifetime sub if I'm still feeling it at the end of the free month. :)

Totally misleading title. Especially in a game without distinct levels.

I feel exactly the same. SWTOR ruined CE's for me

Standard preorder. I liked what I saw in the beta weekend and did everything in Kingsmouth and Savage Coast. I figure since they will have 9 zones that gives me 7 more and I'll probably be done after the first month.

Lifetime sub, deffo a risk. I always wondered, what if a game with life time sub, goes FTP after 5 months or something. Man thenit must be waste of money

Standard with initial pack. I don't believe in CE-s and life time subs even if I like the game.

In those that I'm aware of, e.g. LotRO, lifetime subscribers got the same premium subscription beneifts that f2p premium subscribers got. Including currency to spend in the item store.

I like Funcom and like TSW, but only buying the regular.  Don't see myself playing it long enough for lifetime to payoff and if end up still playing in a couple of years, I'll just pay my way.

    Standard + Master + Initiate.

Was going to get Grandmaster but I have too many issues with some aspects of the game, to warrant it.

More character slots don't matter to me unless I share my account with my boyfriend or something. Three is fine for me, given their interesting 'dimension' server structure, and the 3 factions. I only need to reserve 1-2 names so whatever to that as well.

I'll see after the 2 covered months, whether I want to subscribe for lifetime. Snakeskin jacket doesn't matter at all to me.

Got the standard pack.  I'm too cheap to get anything else, although I thought about it.

is the Grandmaster $199.99 + $49.99 for the game ($249.98) or $199.99 including the game?
