Dungeons & Dragons Online is getting ready to grow again with the Menace of the Underdark expansion. We've got a preview of MotU, the first time players will get a chance to explore one of the legendary locales in the DnD universe. See what we think and then leave us your thoughts in the comments.
When I first learned that they were creating a Dungeons and Dragons MMORPG years ago I was extremely excited for the potential. I had played all of the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games as well as the Neverwinter Nights franchise and to see D&D make the transition for a full fledged MMO was inspiring. To say I was disappointed to find out that the game would take place in a new campaign setting is an understatement. I did end up playing Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach (DDO) and then again I picked it back up when it went free to play with DDO: Eberron Unlimited. I could never reconcile the choice to have the game set anywhere other than the Forgotten Realms though and because of this I never played the game for extended periods of time. For that reason I welcome the first paid expansion pack in six years for DDO, Menace of the Underdark (MotU), and the promise it brings with it introducing the Forgotten Realms to DDO.

If TSW weekend will not convince me to sub to it, DDO is my next option of passtime till GW2. I am seriously thinking to buy the exp pack and level a druid.

It's a great game. I just don't like intsanced games where you have a quest hub, and everything else is in dungeons and instances. It's why I never got into this game or Vindictus, DragonNest and anyother instance based game.

@werewood - Its obvious that you aren't liking TSW and should just avoid the game so we don't see you here on the forums complaining, This is like the 3rd post where you have said that. Just wait for GW2 and find a f2p game in the meantime and be done with it.
Really the gear they gave for level 16 was Junk. Most was level 11 gear not even close to some thing any one would want. But out side of that the game is great the Stone was great..

too dated for me, i'm awaiting neverwinter personally, that combat looks awesome. DDO just didn't add enough changes to their game to capture my attention again.
Good video but the commentary was elementary grade level..lazy much??
