Any news on a new SuperHero MMORPG?

CoH just doesn't have... "IT". I don't feel they will ever have "IT". Great concept, fun game play <for 25 lvls or so> great character creation. But the game lacks any staying for me, especially the lack of meaningful PvP. By lvl 24 I felt I was doing the exact same things over and over again.
SO does anyone have a handle on a new Superhero MMORPG coming out? I know DC and Sony <shivers> have teamed up to make a game due out in 07, but I await that one with baited breath. I have lived through Sony's implementation of MMORPG and PvP one time too many.

Well, from what I understand, City of Villians is going to be introducing pvp into City of Heroes. I'm in the same boat as you, thought COH was a pretty fun game when I tried the free trial, but the lack of any meaningful pvp really turned me off to it, as I couldn't see what I'd do at higher levels if I bought it.

I haven't read up a whole lot on the type of pvp in COV, but I've seen its going to focus partly on fighting over base control, which is right up my alley. Another interesting idea I've seen are pvp missions where apparently players on both sides recieve the same mission and must fight over the objective. I plan on giving it a shot.

My only problem with CoH is the fact that you can't do all the really cool things that super heroes get to do. You can't rip a street light out of the ground and just wail on bad guys with it. You can' stack cars in the middle of the street. You can't knock people through walls. It's just not what I expect out of a supers game. I guess I was hoping for an online version of Freedom Force.
