Templar Magus (Elementalist/Shotgun). A lot of fun, "kill them before they kill you" sort of build, very capable even fairly early in the game. Going for the cool Deck Duds, then I'll decide where the build will go next.
For those planning out their builds this site is quite good. It doesn't have the actually abilities but shows all defuffs, which actives/passives trigger them as well as weapon synergies.
Do you only receive the outfit if you pick every skill in the deck "verbatim"?
So if I choose every skill except 1, will I not receive deck clothes? Also, how do you get deck clothes? Does the game just know that you have chosen every skill in their "pre-made class" and rewards you for doing so?
So...if I am to create my own customized deck...I don't receive any special cool clothes for doing so?
You get the deck outfit for learning the skills. You don't have to equip them or even use them to wear the outfit but you have to learn them.
I am certain there will be other clothing options available in game, or through the cash shop if the outfits are not what you are interested in.
Personally I'm tossing up between Templar and Dragon at the moment, but leaning towards the Templar. I know it's likely to be the most popular faction and part of me wants to pick the underdog and go for the dragon, but I will probably stick with the templars.
I will be playing Dragon Blades/Elemental, once I have worked down those paths I will start unlocking chaos too as I really enjoyed that skill set in beta, so more than likely will be working between two of the decks, ninja and martial artist.
From playing the beta I think for general questing and what not a mix of ranged and melee skills are probably best as it just didnt feel right playing a pure ranged character at lower levels having to just spam your ranged spells up close.

Blades/pistol i like the synergy with this build :P
Which synergy would that be? I couldnt find any synergy with those two combos so I went with Chaos first and then switched to Hammer as it had more synergy IMO.
I know the Paladin was suppose to synergize well but reading over its skillset It appeared to me to be based on affliction but with minimal affliction causing effects.
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
Still undecided as to whether I'm getting the game around launch or waiting till after. Low on funds now...also kinda depends on GW2 release date. I mostly played with one weapon in the betas Shotgun on one character, Hammer on another, but toward the end I used a Hammer/Elemental build that seemed to work really well in Fusang PvP. I was mostly based around burst damage in crits where I was killing people in a few seconds.
When/if I do get the game I will proably be Illuminati and try builds of some of the Hammer or Shotgun weapon combos that aren't represented in the Pre-Built Decks:
Hammer/Elemental
Hammer/Blood
Shotgun/Blood
Shotgun/Chaos
However Shotgun/Elemental does seem very interesting as well.
It'l be interesting to try and make a good build/synergy with these.
Illum - AR/Blood, I always like to have a heal/self sufficency spec to start out with, probably work toward the Necro outfit. Then I'll probably go for a chaos tank spec.
