I ordered The Secret World for $9.99 and still getting early access to the game!.

Try at your own risk. Only eligible if you are from US and qualify for the Amazon Credit Card.

  1. Hit Amazon.com and make sure you choose the hard/phsical copy of the game (not the download version). This version comes with $10 gift certificate for next Amazon purchase.   2. Add it to the cart and during checkout you might see an option where if you sign up for Amazon.com credit card issue through Chase you get extra $30 off.  Choose this option and follow through. (credit cards are bad and avoid  using them read http://www.themint.org/kids/credit-card-facts.html)
  3. During check out you will see the price as $49 - $30 = $20.   You will get $10 credit for next purchase.
  4. Check your email and Amazon will send you a reciepts with promotional code.
  5. Head to https://register.thesecretworld.com and register an account with the promo code
  6. Download the Beta client TODAY which is now live ready for tomorrow
  7. Get a good night sleep
  8. Get up on time and get ready for battle!

    Alas I already have played several trinity-based games. So paying even the awesomely-discounted $9.99 is way too much for the same exact gameplay (with slightly different graphics) that the software industry has been shoveling for 10+ years.

    Fun Fact: You can just download those graphics off of nerdy YouTube postings and save yourself an additional $9.99 while you go play any of the 100 or so other MMOs that are functionally identical to the Secret World.

    It's like buying "blue and green" checkers for $50 and calling it a new game.

    Nice bargain hunting kung-fu though!

    Just to see if these people are paid posters or whatnot..I checked through the threads the posted in..It seems the OP has about a half dozen of the game at varying price points...

    If amazon pays me my price can only go down from $9.99 this will be the deal of the century! Anybody had a chance to apply the patch.  I open the beta client and tried to apply the live patch and comes up with a message saing "Funcom is having an issue and they are working on it"

    What differentiates The Secret World from WoW and the other trinity games, as you like to call them, is its setting.  Modern day horror.   That's why I bought it, even after trying beta which I 'enjoyed'.
