Should perge old player ratings

mmorpg's change over time, with patches, new expansions, and playerbase.
Should have the old player ratings/reviews perged from the system every year or two, to help reflect what these games look like "now" instead of when they released.

Part of that problem is solved with the ability to go back and change ratings.
part of it is solved, but nonetheless - most people dont return to rerate games. the amazing part about most mmorpgs are their dynamic nature and the new content/features added with every patch.
maybe every year it should get a new rating? have the old one under archive (rating 2003: X, rating 2004: Y, rating 2005 (current): Z
