It is so quiet here. Could it be that Funcom has released a game without having any release problems? Gasp.
On a more serious note. I really cant see any major complaints going on. Some log in issues at the start. Claim items not available yet and 1 OOM issue on 32bit systems. Had there been any serious problems this forum would have been packed with OMG Failcom. etc etc etc.
Lets see how it goes on the 3rd but this looks like a major step up for Funcom. I have said it before AO was Alpha, AoC was Beta, TSW is release.

I just want to know if they fixed the character creator or does everyone still look like a chimp?
Looks like the Auction House is busted, but that's about it. Then again, I haven't bought the game..I'm just going by what's on the launcher.

I've played solidly since early access started until now (7 hours), and it's been smooth as silk.
Except for the Cash Shop collapsing under the load (lmao), everything else seems to be fine.
Funcom decided to use the CS as the method for delivering pre-order bonuses, presumably to give the CS some "exposure"
Of course everyone in early access has at least 1 item to claim (some have more than 10), and tried to do so immediately, so the CS got hammered and fell over. FC must be kicking themselves.
they smoothed out and adjusted some of the faces only a couple are still bad but overall options are limited but you can make decent looking toons at least now. Overall only major complaint by people is item shop is down right now. My biggest complaint is SLI not ready yet(they said next week) and no external forms of AA work and you are limited to just FXAA with no TrAA options which sucks because there are a ton of fences and surfaces that need transperancy AA. Hopefully this is something that is coming because the shimmering everywhere is really annoying. That being said all in all good stable pre-launch
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. How full are the servers? How many pre orders?
Ton of people could be holding out
Does this answer your question?
j/k...i'm still downloading and a little bored :P
everyone who bought the game, got the pre-order bonus... I really don't know any place where you can buy the game without getting pre-order stuff (and so, the early access), so you can say the release was today.
I think it's largely due to noone giving a crap about it. I was interested in it a while ago till I got to try the free trial/beta/promotion thingy. Then realized it was garbage and moved on.
To find an intelligent person in a PUG is not that rare, but to find a PUG made up of "all" intelligent people is one of the rarest phenomenons in the known universe.
they have definitely outdone themselves on the launch
for Server stability, its by far the smoothest launch Ive been part of (tied with RIFT), but the queues were ungodly in RIFT, so I give TSW a +1
I absolutely love this game, and am so sick of the haters, man this game is so fresh and new, the combat feels great, best kiting system ive ever seen, and the quests are so much fun
oh yah and I have died 5 times so far, by trying to tackle quests that are (hard or above)
I must admit this is a pretty smooth launch so far.
My hat goes off to Funcom ... and this is from a guy who went through their AO launch.
You stay sassy!
my character looks A LOT better than it did in beta, but the options are still extremely limited, especially in comparison to other modern MMOs.
aside from cash shop being down, i've been playing totally bug-free, issue-free and lag-free for a few hours now.
enjoying it too

Really, nothing serious
It should have started at 18:00 here and i was creating my char at 17:58.
I joined the game then and have a butload of fun till now, gottn hungry after 8hrs
Im going to slugg some Glolems for my last hour.
I am ... so called .. excited .. .. i bet my ass off, Ragnar is drunk by now ^^
Same here thought it was very poor and not bothered since...

people who like TSW are too busy playing. all others are too giddy about GW2's release date.
The pre-launch seems to be going swimmingly. Minor tantrums regarding item claims, but nothing major. Rather impressed so far.
Well I haven't played it yet but I can try to create a little drama...
This game is nothing but a WOW clone! Templars are underpowered, nerf Illuminati! THIS GAME IS RUINED FOREVER!!!
it depends on how many people pre ordered the game...
majority of people could be on the fence waiting for reviews and comments.
Maybe there arent so many players to overloard the server?
I played the first beta...enjoyed a bit...im still thinking about buying it... Im kinda waiting steam sales or buying TSW <.<
Just finished my 10 hour playsession with only 1 crash and no other issues at all. I even claimed my secret war and preorder rewards from the cash shopwith no issues either. Worth mentioning : Used the live chat option today on their website and got my forum access issue resolved in less than a minute. Also, a guildmate created his char on another shard, contacted support about it and they transfered him to our shard in less than 5 minutes!
Still can't play because their patcher is crap, although to be fair support has been pretty good about working with me to figure out just what the hell the problem is.
It's probably my shit ISP blocking torrents, truth be told. Oh well, I should be able to play tomorrow at least...
Edit: It is nice to see that everything is going smoothly though, means that once I get it downloaded it should be smooooth sailing.
exactly ^
Sounds like they are off to a good start then, fans have to be pleased.

My experience so far has been pretty good, no problems so far, but now since I mentioned it, it will happen.
On another note, the players that are on the Arcadia server, no one is complaining about anything major and everyone seems happy that their playing something different than another fantasy mmo. Players are helping other players and sounds like everyone in chat is having a good time so far.
Been a very smooth launch. We are having a load of fun. The only thing that seems to be a littlle wonky is the store. IT has been up and down a bit. I think it is overloaded as it is the way you claim your secret war and pre-order items.
Overall great experience and the DX11 client is running like a dream on Ultra for me.
Glad to hear the launch of a new game can actually go smooth for a change. Kinda makes you start having some faith again in devs. Hope everyone has a blast.
I'm sorry but the only one saying anything about the second coming is you. Fans of a game accept its flaws and strengths.
