Already a mentality has developed in PvP. "Do NOT defend any facillities that a Faction has just taken".
This emerging game plan in Fushang, whereby factions simply run around attacking and where successful taking Facilities (West, East, South, North and Centre) is turning the PvP into ridiculous merry-go-round without strategy, genuine purpose or depth. My friends and I are regularly hearing in Faction channels "do not defend the Facility, there is no point". God knows how many times Facilities have changed hand from Faction to Faction over the last few days. My guess is 100's.
In DAoC it required game plan strategy, excellent organisation and planned logistics to take an enemy keep. In TSW the way the current incentives work this plays directly into this shallow, one-dimensional persausion. Reducing the XP awarded for taking Facilities won't change this mindless behaviour. Introduce incentives for successfully defending Facilities, or else make it much harder to attack and seize them.
Put an end to this mindless adolescent PvP behaviour !!

You cant compare this game to DAoC keeptaking, because there is no strategy needed in TSW PvP, there are no real defenses are there?
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
That is exactly my point, there should be some defensive aspect that is worth defending to provide incentives, otherwise the PvP is going to turn into a mindless shambles. DAoC is the gold standard model for demonstrating how this can be done.
i have a stack of your books and i want them autographed!
"There are at least two kinds of games.
One could be called finite, the other infinite.
A finite game is played for the purpose of winning,
an infinite game for the purpose of continuing play."
