Don't know that site but it's a possible price.

I've bought my pre-order version for 35$ back in May.

    And still can.

Nah, game prices are lower in Eastern Europe. I buy most of the new releases at Origin/Steam/Retail for about 30% of the official price.

    Why not?

They don't need any psysical shops to sell online.

Don't know this particular one, but in my country in Poland there are companies selling CD legit keys that exists for looooong years already and they sell realtively huge amounts of codes.

Im really wondering how these cdkey sites work, and wether the money you pay is going to the devopers at all.

I shop around for new games and have often bought product keys & steam keys off 3rd party sites for sometimes ridiculously low prices.

I just cant see how a site can get the keys at these prices to resell to make a profit. Without something illegal being involved. Like they raided a game store or something. Maybe some created a generator, as ive seen alot of feedback with people getting used keys and getting replacement one that then works.

These sites buy lot of copies at whole sale price. I would say around 100+ or more at one go. Maybe that is the reason they can sell it cheap. I don't think they buy it directly from the store.

They get it in big packs from official distributors.  They often are cooperating with certain distributor for years.

Game companies just know that there are certain people who won't buy game for full official price and will hunt down 'occassions'.

They're obviously not buying those keys from Steam lol

Are there scam sites? Well there are fake sites for everything every now and then.

Besdies look at games like D3 or GW2.

Logically when you would be buying directly from 'source' without middelmans price should be lower right?

Wrong. Lol , you get an F grade ;p

D3 / GW2 (and many similar) are most expensive getting directly from Blizzard / Arena.net.

Retail box - you can frequently find cheaper, so are cd-key codes from other sources.

    Why?

Well companies cannot undercut retailers & game codes sites - cause almost noone would want to buy there and those companies would not want to even buy any boxes or codes from game devs in first place.

Second reason - you have far more coverage. Retailers & game codes sites do their own advertisement, they frequently offer them in places & countries that are hard penettrable by game devs themself (language barrier, payment barrier, etc).

Nothing unusual - and it is GOOD for consumer.

If there was only one distributor - game company itself - you would have monopol and high prices without avability to go and try to look for some discount, promotion or even lower basic prime anywhere else.
